I noticed that some of the top recommended themes I found here on WA when creating my site have not been updated in quite a while. One I really liked hasn't been updated in 2+
I would find a theme that gets updated regularly and stick with it unless there's something that absolutely drives you crazy or is a must have.

Would you recommend using the wordpress themes through the site builder? Or just use any theme to get the site up and download one that has support from themeforest or a similar site?
I would use any theme to get the site up right now and then do some research on themes to find one that you really like.
You're not stuck with it, but it's much easier to keep the same theme instead of having to constantly having to mess with a new theme to get the way that you want.
Alright thanks! I'll be finding one I really like, getting used to it and then sticking with it forever hopefully.

I am on my third theme with one of my sites. You will find you will get better at identifying the best choices as you go along. You are just at the ugly part of the learning curve. It hurts a bit. Good luck to you.
Thank you for the reply! I found one that I've taken a liking to. Now I'm just learning how to change/navigate everything. Shouldn't take too long to learn though and I'll be able to use it on just about any type of website.
