To me success is a beach.

I'm off to Mexico tomorrow to volunteer for 4 months in a sleepy Baja town and stay in a palapa 2 blocks from the beach. The fact that I can do that is a testament to what I consider real success: the flexibility to pursue my values on my own terms and feel like I can give back to communities whose needs are far greater than mine.

To be honest, this trip isn't being funded with my WA site (the next one will be!) but to me it represents the decision I made (and must re-make everyday) to live on my own terms instead of taking a cubicle job. And that's something you just can't beat!

What does success mean to you?

The fact that we've all been through so many obstacles in life and still living and breathing, with our families around us, is already a success.

Financially - Success means flexibility to earn money and not be tied to a cubicle. It means having enough money to go on mission trips and help others. Non Financial - Success means looking at my children and seeing what wonderful people and parents they have become. It means laughing at my daughter when she opens her mouth and my words come out.

Kyle, have a wonderful time. Your photo on the sailboat looks awesome. To me, success means having extra money to share with family and friends, to enjoy some of the finer things in life, and to have the resources to achieve all the goals I have set for myself. Great question. Enjoy!
