Beer with Kyle: Superhuman You, the WA Rebuild, and What's Coming Next

This week I want to pull back the curtain a bit on what's happening behind the scenes at Wealthy Affiliate, tease a secret project we have in the works, and then dig into a topic that has been front of mind for me... how you can be using AI to become a superhuman version of yourself.

Today's pour is a Craft Pale Ale by Parallel 49, a Vancouver brewery. Nice caramel color and a solid sipper to ease into the weekend. Not every Parallel 49 beer is my favorite, but this one definitely meets the mark.

What's Happening Behind the Scenes.

A lot is going on right now, and I know from the outside it can feel like a bit of a mystery. So let me bring you up to speed.

We are rebuilding Wealthy Affiliate from the ground up. This is a significant undertaking, and honestly, it's something we would have never been able to take on without AI. We largely code with AI as a company now, and that is the reality across most software companies today. The old manual coding world is being replaced with something way more efficient, more powerful, and more capable.

The goal is to get the full infrastructure of Wealthy Affiliate rebuilt so that moving forward, we can ship features, roll out new platforms, push updates, and fix bugs at a pace that simply wasn't possible before. A good example is the Site Manager platform, which runs on an older code base. A lot of that is being rethought from scratch with the newest technology available to us.

We are also rethinking the Hubs experience entirely. The goal is to make Hubs way more powerful, way more useful, and way more integrated than it is today. More on that soon.

The Secret Project?

On top of the rebuild, we have another pet project in the works that we feel is going to be very significant. That one should come to light within the next four to six weeks, so keep your eyes open.

If you have noticed that updates have slowed a bit over the past three to four weeks, that is by design. We have paused updates on the current environment to focus all of our energy on the development and release of what is coming next. Expect the new environment to roll out in June, along with a new website management area, a refreshed interface that is still very recognizable, and a completely reimagined Hubs experience.

Becoming a Superhuman Version of Yourself.

Last week we had a great discussion about AI, what platforms you are using (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini are the big four), and the use cases you are applying it to. There was amazing feedback, and it got Carson and I talking this week about the idea of amplification.

A few years ago, I probably felt like I was operating at a 5x version of myself thanks to AI. These days, if you are using AI correctly, you should be operating at a 25x or 50x version of what you used to be capable of. You should be taking on projects you would have NEVER even considered in the past, because AI is there as an assistant to do the heavy lifting with you.

The question I want you to start asking yourself on any task is simple... can AI help me with this? If the task is digital in nature, the answer is almost always yes.

Connecting AI to Your Gmail.

One thing I really encourage you to do if you have a paid Claude or ChatGPT account is connect it to your Gmail through connectors. You can ask either one how to set that up and it will walk you through the process.

Once it is connected, you can query your inbox directly from inside the AI. You can pull up unread emails from a specific sender, ask it to flag anything urgent from the last week, and then ask it to draft replies to everyone on that list. The drafts show up right in your Gmail drafts folder, ready for you to review and send.

This is a massive unlock. It clears your head, keeps you responsive, and makes you a much better communicator without eating up hours of your day.

A Real World Example: 110 Sponsorship Emails in 25 Minutes

Here is a project I took on recently that would have eaten up hundreds of hours the old way.

I coach my daughter's fastball team, and I took on reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships and helping organize a raffle and 50/50 to keep things moving.

I asked Claude to research local businesses, put them in an itemized spreadsheet, and then draft sponsorship emails tailored to each one. Within twenty to twenty five minutes I had a list of about 110 local companies and I was already sending emails. The spreadsheet updates automatically as I go. I can also ask Claude to pull my latest interactions from my inbox and update the spreadsheet with who is interested, who declined, and what they want to donate.

That project would have taken a team of people hundreds of hours to research, draft, and track. I got it moving in under half an hour.

The Takeaway.

Force yourself to start asking the question... can AI help me do this more efficiently? Whether it is business related, personal, family related, or a mundane task you have been putting off, there is a very good chance AI can take ten or twenty times the work off your plate.

This does not mean AI is submitting work without your eyes on it. It means AI is handling the heavy lifting, the research, the drafting, and the organization, so you can put more energy into the things that actually matter. That is how you free up time to grow your business, take on bigger projects, and operate at a level you never thought was possible.
