Black Friday is just over a week away, so I want to reach out to everyone to give you the full breakdown as to this year's event, which in many cases will be the "last" one for many of our central offers.
First, we know that times are tough for many and we wanted to give everyone a bit of extra time this year to plan ahead so they could take advantage of the offer. The “looming recession” is on everyone's mind, which sometimes can be viewed as bad news, but the opportunity within the online world only continues to grow.
We want absolutely everyone to be able to capitalize on this through this offer, from being able to upgrade and save a ton of money... to being able to promote this special offer to others and earn a ton of money.
The Dates, and the Offer...
This year the Black Friday offer runs from through the following dates:
November 25th at NOON PST (Black Friday) - November 28th at 11:59PM PST (Cyber Monday)
And this years pricing is going to be the same as last, and consistent with our lowest pricing ever.
Premium Plus+: $499/year
Premium: $299/year
This is the last time ever we are going to be offering this pricing. When we started Wealthy Affiliate as a little keyword website, and we charged $359.88 per year. One keyword list a week. That is all we offered, and people were more than happy to pay for our service. That was in 2005!
If you adjust that for inflation, that is $546.93 in today's prices. So you can get Premium Plus+, for less than our keyword list a week site cost back in 2005!
But this is VERY LAST TIME you will see this pricing.
And now for the opportunity side for affiliates (all members here) that want to capitalize on this offer....
Marketing Details & Strategies for Affiliates
We want to give all affiliates and those that want to cash in on this insane discount, time to prepare for this year's launch. We will have a fresh marketing approach that we want to take with this year's offer, which includes a brand new “video blog” platform that we will be releasing at WA in the coming weeks which we will be leveraging during this promotional period.
There are also some real “marketing angles” that you will be able to leverage with your promotions.
(1) Last Time Ever. This is the last time these prices are ever going to be offered. This is going to be the last year we are offering the $299 and $499 Black Friday price points. If someone wants to take advantage of these they are going to have to do so this year, and this guarantees their pricing will not change in subsequent years.
(2) 2023 Success Hacks Bonuses. This year the bonus classes (which will all be for Premium Plus+ only) are going to be geared towards “Success Hacks in 2023”. There are going to be 8 Experts outlining their Success Hacks the year ahead. These will be stacked with value and will be worth far more than the price of the yearly membership by themselves.
These will be offered to all Premium Plus+ members, and go live through December and January.
(3) $499 is the BEST Value. The commissions are not only higher ($220 per sale) but the bonus classes are going to be offered exclusively Premium Plus+ members only. This is also the biggest account discount. “Get Premium Plus+ for the same Price as Premium Yearly normally is”. “$689 Savings”, “Get Premium Plus+ for less than $1.37 per day!”
(4) This is a business expense, write off. As one builds a business, the services they need to run their business become a full write off expense, Wealthy Affiliate being one of those services.
(5) Just over $1 per day. For less than the price of a standard cup of coffee, an entrepreneur can run and scale a successful business (or many) online. Premium Plus+ at $499 works out to be $1.37 per day. Premium at $299 is $0.82 per day.
(6) Premium Plus+ Price for Same Price Premium. Normal price of Premium Yearly is $497, and for a few bucks more you an get Premium Plus+.
(7) Up to $689 Off. That is going to be in line with the marketing in the Black Friday banners and advertising. $689 is how much Premium Plus+ is discounted during Black Friday vs the monthly price of $99/month x 12 ($1188)
(8) Final Days of 50 Websites. After the Black Friday offer, we are going to be trimming back the website offering to be more in line with the Managed Wordpress Hosting industry. A 50 website Managed Wordpress package doesn't exist, but if it did, you would be looking at over $300-500 PER MONTH for that.
You can get a 50 Website Plan included with your Premium Plus+ yearly membership, and you will be grandfathered into this plan (and can keep it forever). This plan is going to be reduced to 10 websites, with Premium going to 5 websites after the Black Friday event is complete.
(9) Forever Pricing. If someone upgrades at these prices, they are going to be guaranteed that same price in subsequent years if they decide to stick around.
Naturally the focus as an affiliate would be to push $499+ price point as the value is better, and this offer pays you higher commissions. Premium at $299 will certainly be attractive to those on a budget, but $499 does come with ALL of the bonuses, and of course offers such a crazy value for those that are interested.
Here are some things that you can get moving on from your end.
(1) Prime your email list. If you have an email list, get them ready for this offer in advance (1-2 weeks), with an email letting them know an “out of this world” offer is coming.
Email 1:(5-7 days before): Offer is coming
Email 2: Offer starts tomorrow
Email 3: Offer is live
Email 4: Value then pitch offer
Email 5: Offer closing soon
Email 6: Offer extended
(2) Prepare Blog Posts within WA. Remember EVERY post is a blast to all of your referrals. You can blog about the offer leading up to it, and of course take full advantage of it when it is live. If you are going to blog about the offer BEFORE it starts, we recommend starting with a blog post about a week before.
(3) A Black Friday Blog Post on Your Website. Outline the power of this offer, and why people need to take advantage of it. You can pull from the marketing angles (above), but you really want to focus on the benefits versus the features of WA. Help people imagine where they will be, versus reminding them where they are at.
(4) Paid Advertising. You can set-up campaigns on Google Ads, Bing Ads, FB/IG ads, or wherever else you want to get reach during this offer. You can leverage your Black Friday post for the PPC campaigns. Affiliate links will be coming soon.
(5) Add Black Friday Banners. New Black Friday banners are available, and you can get these creatives from the "Banners" page under the $ icon. They are labeled "Black Friday 2022" in the drop down menu. Click here to access these.
(6) YouTube Videos. If you have a Youtube channel and subscriber base, you can leverage this with a Black Friday pitch video.

Honestly, Wealthy Affiliate has always been such good value while I have been a member, and I am sure the new pricing will still be industry-destroying after this One Last Time Ever promotion, but what I can't get my head around is paying $359.88 for 1 keyword list every week for a year!

I guess the internet was a very different place back then and keyword lists were pretty valuable, now with the endless keyword tools and such a keyword list seems utterly valueless!

The keyword service was actually loved, we did a lot of the work for folks as we researched and came up with keywords with good commercial intent, within a targeted niche and wrote the ads for folks. It worked, and people succeeded within the niches as a result of that.
Of course the keyword tools weren't quite as comprehensive back then, but they were still available. People are willing to pay you to speed up the process, and we never had any unhappy customers even at the $359.88 price point...which still wasn't a great deal of money back then.
Fast forward 17 years, and of course we offer WAY more within WA, and we help people speed up their business, and save from the many expenses that come from it as everything is self-contained in one environment that one would need to create and grow a business of any level online.
Thanks for your ongoing support Steve, and we have a suspicion that many folks are going to be taking up this offer this year based on the prior years..in particular because it is the last opportunity to lock in at this insane price point!
At this time I have to focus on my "regular job".
I'm terminating many of the online ventures I began.
I may have to terminate this one as well, but I'm giving it a little time before I make any decisions.

Reading the comments below I think I have answered most of my questions, but just to be sure.
1. If I recently paid for an annual Premium membership, the balance would be prorated to an annual Premium Plus membership if I upgrade?
2. Whatever price and package features I lock in now are in perpetuity? Unless I leave the platform? (Does "grandfathering" also apply to my current membership? Or only memberships acquired during the Black Friday event?)

Yes system would prorate a final value, it will take into consideration what you have paid.
If you are already grandfathered, you are good to go. BF subscriptions upon optin are not subject to price increases as long as you remain subscribed to the platform.
I guess what I mean is:
Are ALL subscriptions grandfathered? Or just Black Friday subscriptions?
You can deem every subscription is grandfathered, meaning to say that as long as you keep your subscription active then you won't be subjected to any pricing rises and any aspect of weaken. You grandfathered to your current subscription.
Yes, all memberships are grandfathered while you keep them active. If/when you upgrade to the Premium Plus+ yearly at $499, your remaining value on your currently yearly membership will contribute towards that, so if you have $200 in value left on your current year's membership, the Premium Plus+ would be $499 - $200.
When this offer is rolled out, this calculation will be done for you on the order page so it will be very clear for you Kristen. Let us know if you have any further questions Kristen :)
I've already got my funds ready for Black Friday. I can't believe I'm actually saying this but it's going to be 9 years that I've been with Wealthy affiliate In January.
I joined in January 2014 and I intend to stay as long as the platform exists! I've seen so many positive changes with Wealthy affiliate over the years!

Wow, that's so wonderful and exciting. I am new here, so I want to know exactly how to buy the upgrade. Do I purchase the upgrade for the amount here $499 and when does it start as far as the billing cycle? I have had two purchases recently, so I'm a bit perplexed.
It's a no-brainer to get locked in, but it's just coming too soon for someone who just started that's just the situation.

It will start on the day that you purchase, but it will be discounted based on the time value you have left on your existing Premium yearly membership. So if you have $200 in value left, that will be subtracted from the price of your Premium Plus+ membership ($499 - $200 = $299).
The Black Friday upgrade page will do this calculation for you automatically, so come Black Friday you will be able to see this discount right away, and upgrade for a year at the lower Premium Plus+ ever. .
