Non existent internet connection

Hi Folks,

I am hoping that my internet connection will last long enough so that I can let you know what's happening in my prehistoric part of the world Down Under.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get on the internet long enough to do anything here at WA due to our internet connection becoming worse and worse because of where I live...in the sticks! It was not good before, but now it is almost non-existent.

The situation is highly frustrating, as apart from my trying to study here, I am also trying to keep up with my Ebay sales. Your feedback can be severely affected when you can't get a connection in order to let folks know what's going on with items they've bought.

I also know I have new people who have connected to my network here and I haven't been able to add them and say hello. If you are reading this peeps, then "Hello!" and I WILL add you as soon as I can connect long enough. Truly my old dial up would have been better than this rubbish I have now! But because of where I live, this is what I'm stuck with. Thanks Telstra!

I am also so darn mad that I am paying AU$52 a month for a course that I can't even access at the moment because of Australia's sub standard internet services. Honestly our telco's cannot cope with the amount of internet traffic that is produced here with everyone and their dog on their smart phones, as well as the home computers! The system cannot cope.

I don't want to cancel my membership here in case by some wondrous miracle I finally have a half decent internet service, because I really want to get into my lessons here, but unless the NBN (National Broadband Network) promises to be as great as the previous labor government reckons it will be, when it finally comes into my area, I won't be holding my breath!

So believe me when I say that I am really hoping that something changes so I can get on with my lessons here as it is pretty bloody hard to be an internet marketer with no internet connection! :)

Thanks guys for your comments and advise I appreciate it. I will do some of those things you mentioned Niles. My internet is just so bad though that I have decided to take a break from WA for a few months to see if the National Broadband Network promises a better connection. The NBN is supposed to be finished in my area in the bush about May, 2016 so I will see how things go then. If it improves, I'll reinstate my account and get back to it again, but I can't afford to pay membership for something I can't use. I have been holding off for a while til the last minute because I really didn't want to have to do this, but I'm going to have to unfortunately.
Hopefully my internet problem will improve and I can get back to my learning. This is a great place :)
Cheers,
Lynette

Hi Kyirrie,
Concerning video lessons, I would recommend downloading them and viewing them at your leasure. Also, when you see an interesting post, I would recommend copying it and pasting it in Word for reviewing and reference later. In this way, when you have a good connection, you can take advantage of it. When you don't have a good connection, you can still learn by watching the videos and review the Word docs.
Hope this approach is helpful.
Regards,
Niles

hope you sort this out soon, or move to a better location to start your business
Good Luck!
