Hear is the 411, Recently my websites root domain "junglegymxt.org" was ranking on google's first page for the keyword "jungle gym xt" in the natural search listings. But even more recently I created an adwords campaign to get a little more traffic and sales out of my site.

Well, my campaign was up and was performing great! But the unexpectedly I magically disappeared off of google's front page in the natural listings.

I took it upon my self to investigate. Well when I type in "jungle gym xt", my root domain's not there at all on any of google's pages. But when I type "Junglegymxt.org" into google, my root domain shows up.

I know Adwords screwed up my natural ranking some how for that keyword. If I would of stuck with articles and other free marketing techniques I wouldn't be writing this post...

Anyway I need to know what happened and how to fix it if there is a way. If not its not the end of the world... hope fully this will help out some others to avoid this in the future.

Hey Kurt, I was looking at your site and I can make a few suggestions. I agree with Slayton in that the art of SEO and Google can be pretty finicky. However in my opinion what you would be better off doing is building up relevant content. I noticed you are using only small blog blurbs for the content of your home page. I think your rankings were achieved from the SEO factors that you have had an exact match domain plus fresh new content, the important thing to consider is that certain SEO elements if done really well is enough to rank in itself, those kind of rankings can be short lived if there is decent competition which it looks like there is. What I would do is create some static (non blog) content on the home page relevant to your root keyword "jungle gym xt", at least a thousand words, ( you can also use images, SEO them but do not over do it and pin them on Pinterest, you notice that there a few videos ranking for that keyword as well and you could probably syndicate that content and embed some of it on your site to build relevance. And you notice that there are some good related searches keywords that Google gives at the bottom of the serps. You can use these as additional topical content as blog posts or static pages to gain more site relevance and more free traffic keywords. I also would have used a more wider page format to fit a little more content into the pages, depending on the version of Artisteer you have I forget if it lets you do this. If you make money do invest it into the higher version of that program because I do believe the additional options are well worth it, (food for thought with that one). Basically make more static content on the home page, a good trick is to have titles of 'related' root keyword searches appear on the home page as related topics, page navigation links, anchor text links or a combination of such and of course these links will lead to your other keyword titled blog posts or site pages. A good idea is to review the 30 day success course as it has excellent information in regards to this. You could also write some articles for certain keyword topics that would bring traffic as well as videos. Remember as well all the best SEO and ranking won't do anything unless you pimp out your site with good user experience and the ability for them to easily click on a link that will lead them to your affiliate sales page. There can be alot to consider but this should basically steer you in the right direction. Hope I made some sense. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Google might be having an algorithm update with exact match domains. There's word going around Google's starting to punish these sites since that's widely known as a marketing method. I suggest finding a tool that'll tell you exactly where your domain is ranked right now, and if it's not, they're probably having an update. Results have went from 2nd to 3rd page rankings all the way to around 80th spot because of this.

For the time being, you could try using alternate methods of creating traffic to your blog. Social Marketing is starting to become the next big thing due to there social signals. Other than that, you could try resolving the issue through Google Webmaster Tools. There are over 100 factors that contribute to your SEO with Google & other search engines.

interesting, thanks for the help slayton
