Hurricane Harvey: We're Living It
Hurricane Harvey came riding down on us early this morning. Surprisingly, we only lost power for 5 hours in the early part of the night.
So far, no major damage. Just the tractor shed getting turned over.
We're in the back side of the hurricane, now. Luckily, it's lost power and the winds aren't so strong. The rain hasn't been too bad either.
The next few hours will determine the damage.

Where are you. I'm 25 miles north of Galveston/south of Houston. I cannot believe what I have seen.
We're 85 miles North of Rockport. Did Y'all get much wind, or just rain. We had LOTS of wind. Luckily, not too much damage. The carport we park the tractor, shredder, and large trailer got blown upside down. The tie down stakes pulled out of the ground.
We did get some wind but in comparison to the rain, it was nothing. I live in a luxury apartment complex that is only 10 years old. Whoever designed drainage in this area deserves an award. Starting less than a mile from here is Dickinson and that city had a mandatory evacuation on Sunday night. I wasn't able to go anywhere until Thursday morning and by then it had started to drain off all of the major freeways. The feeder roads were still flooded.
