It's Going to Happen
Getting closer to the month in which students will be graduating from college and high school. These students will be take a number of different paths to success. Some high school students will be moving on the higher education and some into the work force.
The college students will be graduating with Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or even Doctorate degrees. These students will be moving into their lines of work hopeing for a good job within their educational background.
Higher Education
We think of "higher education" as moving from high school onto a college or university. Getting students ready for college starts long before graduation including financial aid, choosing a location, find major, and visiting a number of campuses. These are just the small number of things that will need attention.
But, Higher Education is more than just heading to college from high school. No matter what you deside. We are always seeking a form of higher education. Whether we are currently working or just graduating from high school, we are always seeking higher education.
Its Going to Happen in some way shape or form that we will continue to seek a higher education.
Blue Collar
Getting into a Blue Collar profession over the past few years has been on a decline. There is really no one explanation why. There seems to be less people interested in the Blue Collar life style of working in a trade.
Many of us have grown up when getting a trade was a way to make good money right out of high school. Over the years colleges have developed classes for students too get more education in theses field after high school. Developing advanced courses in welding, electrical, mechanics, and capentary for example.
It seems to be the years after the world wars when working in factories has deminised. The famos "Rosie the Riveter" comes to mind thinking of these time. This icon changed the way women where seen in the work force.
However, a report from Forbes shows there is currently a shortage of blue coller workers in the United States. This report also shows that the education among worker between 25 and 65 has change since 1994. When most worker had a high school education. According to the statistics most workers now have a Bacholars degree of higher.
This does reflect an older graph, where the change in our generations from the Blue Collar to the White Collar.
Its Going to Happen that even it we choose to work in a Blue Collar profession that we will need education to succeed.
White Collar
Becoming a part of the White Collar work force may take some time and effort with continuing education. It has been documented that education is not the only thing needed to become successful in the White Collar world.
Some of the students the will graduate will begin some type of internship. Some will strat the internships before graduation. The nice part of the internship, these student gain experience in their business adventures.
Whether they are focusing on obtaining a CPA or becoming an attorney. The goals they need to achieve will that them through this internship of learning.
As you seen above the White Collar work force continues to grow a nd pass the Blue Collar work force. The answer to why this is happening is not as difficult as you may think.
Our lifestyle has shifted from getting you hands dirty to getting an education.
The education these kids are getting only helps them get a job with a piece of paper. They come into a profession and need to learn from the experienced employee.
It's Going to Happen that the experience will overcome their education.
Roads to Success
Where does the Road to Success begin?
I look at both Blue Collar and White Collar work forces. Both have there pros and cons. Students getting ready to graduate are looking for their Road to Success in life. They will be looking for a ton of answers to a number of questions.
Will they succeed?
My answer is simple to them. Work hard at what ever you decide to do. Focus on your goals while not letting small setback deture you.
Eventually, It's Going to Happen.

There is not a shortage of blue collar workers in America. There is an abundance of lazy, entitled people who do not want to work.

I guess that could be particularly true. The unemployment rate is currently at around 3.8% and has been maintaining between 3.5% and 4% over the last year.
There is no shortage of jobs, I agree with you there. Just a shortage of people willing to do physical labor. Students graduating now are looking for the easy way out or as you say the lazy way.
I have seen a lot of it in my career. We hire kids with a college education. Pay them good money. Half of them can not even start a chain saw or work a shovel.
