Thinking about niches.
I have been trying to decide whether to do a serious niche, like depression and helping people with depression cope. Or something with bullying/recovering from being bullied.
OR
Something less "serious"... like young adult fiction.
I can relate to all of them, of course, but I'm not sure what would be the better niche. From my reading about niches on WA it feels like my first instinct is best, because the advice is usually to ask yourself what you want to help people with. And I definitely would like to help people who struggle with depression, because I have lived with it for as long as I can remember, and I know how painful and lonely it can be. And I was thinking I could find affiliates that have products that either directly help people cope/self soothe, or products that occupy the person. Because I know in my case, it helps to distract myself with something I enjoy!
Anyway... kinda just thinking out loud here. lol I really want to come up with something good soon, so I can continue the lessons and start my site!

Thank you for the advice! I am pretty sure I am going with something depression related.. thinking of focusing on coping methods and self soothing, as opposed to "look, here's a cure!" lol Because it's never that simple... learning to cope is something everyone needs, and from experience, is a major problem for people with depression! So like I said, with the distractions.. I'll find things to make just coping easier. I have a book from my old therapy group, and I'm actually going for the first time today in a long time. So maybe that will help motivate me! :)
