Day 2 Update - Request for Feedback Between 2 Niche Ideas
So I'm trying to decide on a niche and I'm feeling torn.
On one hand I think that the easiest one for me to choose would be
Curing Type 2 Diabetes Naturally Without Medication or Deprivation
As this is something I have some experience with personally having brought my a1c down from 16.5 (near diabetic coma) → 5.5 (pretty much normal) through diet (low carb, high fat) and habit changes alone (against the advice of my doctor). This would pull in a number of possible avenues for monetization.
I even have a domain name and logo all ready to go
The thing is, that my current side business is as a behavior design (habits) coach helping people instill new behaviors in their lives and I'm more passionate about personal and professional development. I'm currently writing a book entitled 'The Progress Formula' outlining the tools and approaches that I use with my clients to build massive momentum without undue effort..but until it's completed I don't know whether or not it makes sense to develop a website and monetize for this domain as its own niche or not.
Which brings me do my third option for a niche:
Behavior Change Made Easy
Using either EffortlessGrowth.com or AHealthyTaste.com as my domains. My concern here is that while it very well could allow me to cover the Health, Wellness, & Behavior Change topics that I'm most interested / passionate about, that it might be too broad to serve as a niche site (maybe more appropriate as a blog or podcast).
So that's where I am today. So I'd much welcome any feedback the group might have:
- Type 2 Hope - Curing Diabetes Naturally
- The Progress Formula - Behavior Change Coaching & Advice ahead of book
- EG or AHT - Behavior Change Made Easy (as it relates to Health, Wellness, & Habits)

Good day Koprowski, I like #2. Both are fantastic niche topics, It appears to me that you could also add Curing Diabetes Naturally within this as it is also a behavior change. Changing your habits for a healthier you is also making a huge behavior change. Your site will only be as broad as you let it get. I would pick out 5 to 7 main categories with a lot of information to write on and stick with them. Best of Luck to you, sure hope this helps. I had a similar dilemma when I was deciding on a niche. I don't have one straight answer for you as to which one you should choose but here are my thoughts:
Are you ultimately planning to do 1, 2 or 3 sites? If you ultimately want to do more than one site then it doesn't matter so much which one you start with. It sounds like you are planning on at least 2.
I want to do 2 or 3. 1) on human health through supplementation to fight nutrient deficiency caused health conditions. 2) on mental health, specifically ptsd in veterans and treatment with natural supplementation such as magnesium and natural forms of lithium which really work. And 3) on pet health and behavior issues and how to treat them naturally.
My initial intent was to do the human health page (2). I thought starting with pet health would be easier however to "get my feet wet" since I could avoid all the "I am not a doctor" disclaimers. I still need "I am not a vet" disclaimers I guess but it just seemed easier to start with.
All three of these are topics I have experience with in myself or my immediate family. This sounds like you.
So, I think you could go in any of those three directions to start with if you ultimately want to pursue multiple sites. I sometimes wonder if I should have dove right into human health, but I have met so many wonderful people here along the way that I think I will have some great support when I start that as my second site.
