i'm sick of my website

i can't imagine myself doing it for many more months.
probably gonna quit WA, maybe start a blog, i dunno.
the big problem i have is that i am a scanner (barbara sher), so i get bored with everything after a while.
and this life is not easy for people like me because to make money you usually have to stay in a certain job/work for a while and dive into it, but i just can't do it, no matter how much i try and force myself.
my crazy dream at the moment is to fly to the US with my dog, buy a van and travel around and blog about it, move from place to place and see what comes my way. not much of a plan i know, but that's the best i can do. what would it take to make money from a travel blog with a dog?

Good luck with your travels. Maybe you will get inspiration while on the move.

Why don't you write a blog about Barbara Sher and the theory I would be very interested to hear more!

cause i'll be bored with her in a few weeks :)
here is a blog about her if you want to read, but the youtube videos are the best:
http://puttylike.com/start-here/

There are others who travel and maintain sites about their travels. It is feasible to do this. You just have to be willing to put forth the effort and that is something only you can choose to do! You have gotten a lot of rich encouragement I hope you will embrace it!

it's probably like a website isn't it, takes about a year to get some real money from it...?

Generally yes.

you idea is good travel webs are very popular, but I think if you want to enjoy financial freedom be stubborn in your business push it to the end and dont live things undone on the half way :)

very true, if only it didn't go against every fiber in my body :)

I share some of the traits you have, you actually got me to look into Barbera Sher and her scanner theory and I feel I can strongly relate to what she has to say, I have to thank you for pointing me towards a diagnosis. Drop me a PM if you want to discuss things further on this, I'd love to hear from you. I ended up changing to a new website and picked a broader niche which has helped dramatically.

you mean just by reading about Barbara you changed a website?
feel free to add me on skype: knightofni

No I changed it a long time ago, I changed from a smartphone site to an Ireland tourism site. I will add you

goe_knightofni, is that your skype name?

no it's just knightofni.
you added me already "jason wilson", just haven't responded to messages

Well that completely sucks! You're a refreshing change that has perked up the place.
If you absolutely have to go though, try not to let go of the website. I'd hate to see it go to waste--it has such good potential.
I hope you get to travel the US in your van, if that's what you really want. Start with Florida, it's beautiful all year round.

Glad i was at least entertaining :)
do you think someone here will want to buy the website? i put it up for auction on Sedo. i just can't even look at it anymore..

I just looked over your site again, and it has come so far so fast. I couldn't write intelligently about those type of products if I tried. It's so tempting though.. How does that work? Do they just resell the domain name, or all of the current content as well?

Thank you. I learn and move fast, and move on fast :)
honestly i dunno, selling the domain name, i don't really care what happens to the content

I don't know how old you are, but you look young in your photo. My son is 28, still hasn't found that elusive "thing" inside. Giving yourself a label is defining who you are, so try to avoid that, it's only where you're at this time.
If you have a dream then do everything you can to make it become reality. Is your dream to travel with your dog or is it running away from who you are? Tough questions but need to be asked.

My son worked and saved for a flight to Australia on a working visa, got there didn't like it so he started asking questions. Maybe he's looking in the wrong place, (he thought) so now he is focusing on going inwards. He's saved enough to take himself off to India to visit some monasteries and ashrams. His dream is to be at peace with himself, he knows when that happens everything else will fall into place. He'll look for tools to help him achieve this.

Good luck Eitan, I wish you well in your future adventures and if you want to stay connected my social profiles are on my profile page. :)

I've spent years travelling the globe.
some with questions like the meaning of life or a quest for happiness, some travels for fun.
i love dogs(am also a dog trainer), i love travelling, shall try to combine them, maybe train dogs in people's homes or something..
it's very rare that i can stick with something so long enough to make money from it, and forcing myself doesn't work, believe me i've tried in the past.
Be prepared that your son might come back from India even more confused.. happened to me and many others.
I'm not even sure humans are able to be at peace with themselves for too long, maybe it's just a matter of accepting who you are and trying to make your life in accordance to this..

Well there you've said it, you love dogs, love travelling and making money doesn't have to be everything, you can be happy without it. Happiness is more important than money.
My son has been to India before, loved it and knows where he wants to visit for more "inner" tools.
Humans can be at peace and you are right, accepting who you are is a big part of this.
You sound like you know what you want to do, if it feels right then go for it. :)

travelling in a van with my dog will be very cool. all i need now is to just say fuck it and do it

Exactly what my son said, good luck!

Hey knightofni!

I can totally relate to you, however, quitting WA is not the solution you are looking for. WA offers you courses to learn how to build your online business with any website. Note, that you are not limited to promote WA only (just in case if that is maybe unclear).

I love your idea about travelling with your dog and blogging about it. After all, travel blogs can be very lucrative, but don't forget that you will be facing the same challenges as you would if you would run any other website. There's no difference, really.

There are many ways how to monetise a travel blog and those do not differ from any other niche. You can promote products that you use while you travel, you can promote promote products that your dog is using. You can promote local businesses that you come across during you travel. You can promote travel agencies or booking.com, for example. You can read books and blog about that as well - promote books available for purchase on Amazon and others retailers. And so on.....

Also, you can write an e-book about your travels and sell it. Or maybe you can write a guide that you could sell "How to travel across USA with your dog without spending any money" :) You get the point...

Keeping focus on one thing can be very challenging as there are so many opportunities. We all experience the same issue, but the only solution is to keep on trying. I would also suggest that you have a serious conversation with yourself to determine what you really want to achieve. As long as you are not in peace with yourself, you will not be successful, no matter what you decide to do.

Here's what you said: "probably gonna quit WA, maybe start a blog, i dunno."

So, to make it clear, you should not quit WA and start a blog. You should start a blog with WA. Whatever blog you want. It doesn't have to be about WA, it can be about bananas if you want it to be about bananas. WA community is here to help you out and remember, when you start your blog, WA community is going to be pretty much your first audience, so you might wanna see some value in that as well.

I hope this helps at least a bit. Let me know...

i finished the courses in WA. learned a lot.
can't afford the $47 dollars. and buying yearly for $365 or whatever is just spending even more money...
i could always start a blog outside of WA, see how it goes and if i ever feel like i need WA again i could rejoin, but for now i'm pushing the pause button.

That is completely true.

how is your blog going to be any different from your website..

how do you expect to make money from a travel blog (which is no easy feat by the way) if you quit because your bored with your current site?

This may be harsh and i might be out of line but anyone who knows me will vouch that i speak my mind..

Despite changing websites, what is still the same???? YOU!

the biggest problem you have is that you have labelled your self for failure.. This leads to the strength of your mindset... You need to define your why and make it strong.. Clearly doing it for the money is not enough.. dig deeper.

The words "quit" and "can't" need to be erased from your vocabulary..

You decide to be successful..
You decide to quit and remain in the exact same place 10 years from now. Possibly worse... Who knows

ahh but here is the problem. the WHY for me is learning. i love learning, and sticking to just one thing is just not an option for me, it's physically not possible.
i'm well aware of how this can fuck me up in this world, but ti's the hand that i was dealt.
so yes i can quit, they are part of my vocabulary, and hopefully i can build a life that aligns with my strengths and weaknesses, the website i had so far was not it. other things shall come.
