Mr. Bo Bo Reboot

Well, the holidays are over. I took some time off to figure things out.

The crowdfunding campaign for MyPortablePMB.com didn't really go anywhere and, while I think I could have made mail forwarding work, it would be a slow starter and I need something now. Since all I have is time, I wouldn't normally give in that easily, but I came up with a better idea, one that doesn't require as much startup capital and I feel it has a better chance for success more quickly. So that's what I've been doing since the new year started and it's why I've been so quiet. I needed to focus.

I have been trying to kick my soda addiction for a couple of years now, but every time I try, I end up going back to it. I used to think it was just the sweetness of it, and the bubbles, but I realized that it's also a convenience thing. I could just grab a can and be done with it. It sounds like a silly thing to be addicted to, but a lot of people are, and I've heard stories similar to mine. People can give it up for a couple of weeks at a time and then they cave in.

I've been doing Trim Healthy Mama, and they have some great drink recipes, but they're work. And have no bubbles, hahaha. Oddly enough - I hate tea... yes, I know... weirdo... but they have tea-based drinks that I actually enjoy; it's just that sometimes I don't feel like brewing the tea, dumping it into the blender, having to clean the blender... and they don't really have a good shelf life so at most I could make two drinks at a time.

So I tried a stevia sweetened cola called Zevia, which was not only disgusting, it's was also more expensive. I even tried to make my own cola from extracts and recipes I found on the internet... didn't work... not even a little bit. But one thing led to another and it was like puzzle pieces that came together. All of a sudden I had an idea.. So that's what I'm doing now: InfusiasmStore.com. I still have my Coming Soon plugin active, but behind the scenes I've loaded it with products and I've been working on labels and a Facebook and Pinterest page. I'm going to send out samples to a test group and then I hope to launch in early February.

I know my target market, I have an "in", and as far as I can tell, I will be the first to offer what I'm offering (actually two or three of the products seem new to the market, not altogether new per se, but my version is different). That's exciting to me, and my brain won't shut down... I keep thinking of more and more ideas. Ways to expand. But I want to do that slowly so I don't bite off more than I can chew and ruin my chances for success (which is really hard because I'm so excited!!!). That, and my friend Lisa tried it... she started out skeptical, but the feedback was positive and I could tell it was genuine. I also have interest from people just based on the premise, so that tells me that I'm on the right path.

I've had 17 people randomly find my Facebook page as well, which has NEVER happened... not for Mr. Bo-Bo, not for MyPortablePMB, not for Albo Talbot or Nashoba or doTerra or anything else I've tried. I even had a lady email me, asking me to let her know when the store goes live. I know that's not a lot, but you guys know what it's like to find organic traffic. So while there's no guarantee, I have a good feeling about the potential for this one and I'm willing to advertise when I have the money to do so because I think that will help a lot.

I feel good that it can not only bring in money for my househould, but eventually I can hire my friend Lisa, and I can help tons of people ditch soda. Ultimately my goal is to get Mike home, to make enough money that he can come home and work somewhere close to home, if not for me. I have other plans but I've made this blog long enough...

So that's what I've been up to... Here's are a couple of my labels, I wanted them to be colorful and vintage and I think they turned out great so I hope other people like them. I know visual appeal is what first gets a person's attention, and then they try the product.

Oh - before I go, has anyone started their own affiliate program? I was considering doing that for Infusiasm to help spread word of mouth, like 10% of the product sales. I assume each affiliate would have their own code like a coupon code and I would track that and pay out at the end of each month. I just don't know how complicated it is to set up and track. Was thinking maybe limiting it to 25 affiliates to start and see how that goes. I don't want to have to also pay someone like Share a Sale, which I assume I would have to if I went through them. If I can just pay the affiliate that helps me be more profitable and more affordable as well.

This is a wonderful idea, and your labels looks amazing, good luck

Thank you, they make me happy... I want to blow them up and frame them, hahaha

This is wonderful Kristy! 2Achieve has an affiliate program and might be able to advise you!:)

Cool, I didn't know so many WAers had them

I didn't either! :)

Your labels are great looking. Congratulations on all you are doing. Wish you the best. :)

Thank you!

Sounds like your on your way to successville, I sure hope so. Nice blog and I like your labels too. May the Good Lor take a likin to ya.

Sharon

Thanks Sharon, I hope so too. I figure even if I just capture 5% of the THM market I'm set, and that sounds doable right? It's just 5%... :)

I read that... wow! I can't believe what he went through...

Welcome back Kristy and congratulations, sounds good:)

Thanks Jazmin :)

I saw this on FB. So, are these things YOU personally are blending? I thought originally it was a company you were representing.

Yep, it's me personally. :)

Well, that's pretty cool. Some of the things looked interesting.

That's what I'd hoped :) And the fact that you thought it was an established company hopefully means that it looks professional

I think you're on to something............

Awesome. I think I am too. I'm part of the Trim Healthy Mama Facebook page and they have over 75k mamas... a lot of them are having problems quitting soda. And that's just one segment of the market and one product. Infusiasm can help any low-carb dieter, diabetics, etc.

I was drinking 5-6 cans of soda a day. I've lost 8 lbs since Jan 2nd just cutting that out and drinking Infusiasm. I'm not saying it's a weight loss product, but cutting out all that sugar and those calories makes a difference.

Just sent you a FB msg.

Got it. Am going to post that on my website.

I'm happy for you! :)

Thank you! I'm very excited.

WOW! Lot's happening, girlfriend! I have really missed your blogs ... even though we were connecting occasionally on facebook ... I have been missing you. M

I've missed you guys too

I know this member has one (an affiliate program) - you could send him a PM, https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/david-s
