1st Month
I realised a couple of days ago that I had paid for my second month . I was surprised, it can't be a month yet. But what really upset me was the lack of content on my website. I couldn't understand the lack. I was working on it, wasn't I?
The answer was No, I kept putting off working on my website. What was the reason? Was it procrastination? No, that didn't fit. Was I being distracted by other things? This fit better because I was being detracted. But why?
FEAR!
I realised that I am afraid. Afraid to fail, to look stupid, to be the only one that working online doesn't work for.
The last couple of days I have had to sit down and really think about what is stopping me and if I was going to let fear beat me.
My new mindset, which I have written in my notebook to review each day.
- Failing is stopping.
- Mistakes mean I'm learning and becoming more successful.
- The only opinion of me that matters is Gods.
- I'm not working for money but experience. As the experience moves into knowledge and competency the money will follow.
- I give myself a year to see if this is for me.

I had the some thoughts for a lot of things in my life and the result was to remain still and do nothing.
I've read a lot of books and finally I found out the truth about fear.
Fear is fake. The word itself hides the truth.

Now every time I feel afraid I thing I make that thought and I try harder.
It's great that you understood what is holding you back and now you can fight to overcome it.

If you give yourself this year, Emma, make it a year of consistent effort. Life can sometimes throw curve balls and that can create a stall. I have gone through two stalls because of family health challenges. One thing I know is that you can come right back, do some housecleaning in your site, make sure it is properly backed up and just 'get on with it'.
