You really should not be doing this without the permission of the invitee. New invitees need to experience and interact with the community at their own pace and not be overwhelmed by people welcoming them without them even introducing themselves.
This could make them not want to complete their profile and become an actual member. Everyone sending welcomes can make WA seem like a pyramid or MLM kind of program. You people need to stop this! No where does Kyle say to welcome anyone who has yet to be a participating member.
You should first wait until they start interacting before you welcome them, like Kyle says in the training. Let them fill out their profiles first, then ask them if they want to be introduced to the community. Most people like to check things out slowly before having strangers welcoming them.

I was thinking the same. That's why I never write on people's profiles when they haven't completed it (except my own referrals to which I send the automatic messages).
New referrals also get an email to those blogs that ask for welcoming them.
This might look to them like their "mentor" does not get referrals often and for that reason is asking for help to keep them here.
We should sound and act more professionally.

You are welcome Kirk. You have every right to try and communicate with the new invitee because they are your referral. But don't ask others to welcome them until this invitee has become an actual member with a completed profile and you have asked them if they want to be introduced to the community.
Yes Moritz, these blogs and those who actually respond and send a welcome project an appearance that the person who did the referral does not get referrals often.
There is nothing wrong with welcoming a new member AFTER they become one. But welcoming a invitee that has yet to get going within the training is like welcoming a brick wall. It makes WA look desparate for getting and keeping the referral. That is very unprofessional.

Yes Kirk, I realize that you are excited about getting an invitee, just show your excitement in another way. Remember, they are not a true referral until they start engaging with the community through the training.
Somewhere a while back another member got excited about getting an invitee, which didn't turn into an actual member and that will happen more often than not, and this member asked the community to welcome the invitee. This member's blog started this terrible "Welcome my new referral" trend and now it has gotten out of hand.
It is not a professional way to welcome someone, and it actually makes you and WA seem desparate for the invitee to sign up. This will turn away many people who accept invitations. Only YOU and Kyle or Carson should be welcoming the invitee and encouraging them to become an active member, but the rest of us need to stay out of it until this invitee becomes a member and engages with us in the community.
Just so you know, I am not singling you out. I am letting everyone know this everytime I see one of these blog posts.
