About Me

Hello, and welcome to https://kinggodman.com Here I hope to help others realize their potential by using fitness, mindset, and spirituality in combination with an online business to fuel their dreams, passions, and lifestyles..

MY STORY

I grew up in Trinidad, living with my grandparents in a relatively quiet rural village on the east of the island. There was an abundance of mango trees around, which I always enjoyed picking ripe fruit from and sometimes even half-ripe fruit to make a spicy local delicacy called "chow". During my time of playing in my grandparents' large garden, I would occasionally see jumbo jets flying miles above my head, and I would become enthralled in awe at the way they moved so smoothly and effortlessly through the air, and I had always likened that to the way I envisioned my life as an adult.

I then moved to England with my little brother to live with my mom just before I turned 7, and it was a massive difference compared to the relaxed, laidback lifestyle I had grown accustomed to in Trinidad. In my school, myself and my brother were the only two black kids, and it definitely took a while to mentally adjust to being in such a different landscape. However, I made “friends" quickly, and a year after that, someone I considered (at the time) one of my life-long friends moved here from Italy.

10 years later, I decided to take a gap year from college, and go into the workforce. My first job was selling travel insurance to people going on vacation in Europe. Being 17 and just about the only person besides another friend of mine that was working there, I was making a lot of money relative to my other friends that were still at college or working part-time jobs. This filled me with a lot of excitement, but it also awakened an earth shattering question in my mind, that has proceeded to completely transform my life, and continues to do so till this day.

The question that awakened in my soul went something like; this: "Yeah, i'm making nice money (for a 17 year old who had never really seen money before), and yeah, i'm able to buy nicer and more expensive clothes than some of my other “friends”, but is this really fulfilling me? And would I spend my whole life trading my time for money? In other words, why spend my time doing work that 1. Can EASILY be taken over by an automated intelligence system, 2. Only adds meager money to my pocket, whilst someone else reaps a massive profit from my unskilled labor...

WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE

I want to help people, because the emotions and realizations triggered by the questions in my mind seemed to be mirrored amongst almost everyone I saw on a daily basis, but they seemed covered up by a mask of "at least you're getting paid" or "could be worse" and many more, i'm sure you've heard. They would say this after throwing shade at their managers, or coworkers, and expressing their disgust for the work they were doing and the state of their lives in general. I would wonder, why don't you do something about it sometimes in rage at them, until I realized I was actually asking myself the question and was enraged at my own despondency. So I decided to find a way to start my own online business. My goal is to help others in a similar situation to myself understand their feelings, where they come from, and what steps to take to begin creating a life of passion, inner happiness, and self confidence.

THE GOAL OF MY SITE

The goal of my website (https://kinggodman.com) is to help others find their passion and dive into the life they desire using fitness, mindset, and spirituality to create a sustainable, healthy, wholesome life. I want to assist others who are currently struggling internally, as I once was, in recognizing and dealing with their inner turmoil directly by taking spiritual, mental, and physical action to improve their situation.
