WA Ranking - "My lil number in the top right hand corner"
Mmmmmm This lil number on the top right hand of my screen has been both a help and a pain in my A#%?# from day one!
My ego voice hooked into this lil number right away and all the "shoulds" started to pile up my thinking. You should get a good ranking coz if you dont then your not working hard enough, you should get a good ranking because people will think your good, you should get a good ranking coz coz coz and so the should game played over and over in my mind and my lil number in the top right hand corner of my profile moved ever so slowly. Shame my thoughts weren't moving at the same pace.
Then something happen, I started to follow people and leave them a comment, I started asking questions and doing a ton of reading and talking with people. I wrote a couple of blogs and started giving feed back on peoples web sites. I really started participating in our community - giving back.
Guess what happened? My lil number up in the right hand corner went crazy and dropped from 41340 to 1204 in just over a month.
Why am I telling you all this? to let you know what I learnt about the 2 different outcomes I have had.
1) Outcome - Thoughts were all about me "I should" "I should" resulted in a slow moving ranking - This caused the "Pain in my A#%?#"
2) Outcome - Wanting to get to know, help and participate in our community (Pay it forward) BOOM ranking took a huge nose dive - This was so helpful in learning the art of giving.
Its that easy - the more you give out the more you just naturally receive.

I know what you mean! I beat myself up over everything and always want to be an A+ student!! Even more than that I want to help others in any way I can.
We have our youngest son, his wife, three grandchildren (ages 5, 8, 14) all living with us, and recently agreed for my daughter-in-law's 4 year-old nephew to come live with us also. He was being neglected, beaten and just all around having a rotten first 4 years! He is having to learn A LOT about how to behave and listen! He has been here a little over a month, so he is starting to figure out we don't beat him, but we do expect good behavior and he also has had to unlearn some things we don't approve of... especially for a 4 year-old!
Anyway, you and I have many things in common.
I know you can do this. This is not a scam. It works when we do what they teach us.
