Personally, I like looking at a bunch of reviews and figuring out the "average" score of what people are saying. Then you put it into your own words. Make sure you have your own style of writing.
Take screen casts of the products home page, video introduction as well. Original images help a lot.
And yes, look at what people are saying in forums to gather as much information as you possibly can.
