What to do when you're stuck somewhere and have a hard time growing your business: Part 1
If you are stuck somewhere and have a hard time growing, chances are you are missing one important thing. For example if you're stuck at somewhere between $0 to $1000 and no matter what you do, research, read, learn, nothing seems to make a difference, one possible reason is that you're probably spending too much time doing the technical things.
Spend less time as a technician, spend more time as an entrepreneur
What technical things? Building a website, coding, programming, writing spammy articles, trying out one software after the next, building good images to use on your website, doing SEO, creating social media posts and delegate them to technicians that you can hire for a very low cost. There are technicians that you can hire that are very good at what they do and they have spent years developing their skills.
Spend less time on these technical things.
Spending more of your time on what's really important. Like writing your salescopy.
If you write a good salescopy, it won't matter how ugly your website looks, you will make thousands of dollars in much less time than if you focus on the technical stuff.
When you apply sales copywriting principles on your website, on your emails that automatically get sent to your subscribers, on the articles that you distribute, on your social media you multiply the results. Most of the time if you're still beginning, you're the only one who can do it because most technicians that you hire don't have a clue what copywriting is or what's the difference between copywriting and article writing.
Yes, copywriting and article writing are different. There is no correlation between the two.
Remind yourself that you are not a technician.
You are an entrepreneur.

Great post and reminder! We're fortunate that we have a platform like WA to take care of most of the technical stuff so that we can focus on writing about what we love. :)
Hi Keye, great blog post as always. Can you maybe elaborate more on salescopy or maybe redirect us to a training/post on salescopy techniques? Keep on contributing, cheers!
Copywriting makes money, deals with conversion and getting leads, article writing does not.

So for us who don't know, what is Salescopy? What is Copywriting? What is Article Writing?
I would venture to say "salescopy" is another term from the older days meaning "squeezepage" or "salesletter" which is actually that, a letter trying to convince you to do what ever action is intended, like buy or click, or etc.
"Copywriting" is a new term that means if you are writing no matter what, blogging, article marketing, email, it is all the same. If you are typing then you are copywriting.
Article writing for magazines is same as copywriting. Hey, good question. This is my answer to your question. I hope this helps.

You say copywriting and article writing are different. My interpretation would be that copywriting is the persuasive one and articles are the informative ones. Am I on the right track?
