Bad News = Good News
Some blog title huh?
Well just minutes ago I got a phone call from my client. Due to budget reasons they are making cuts and need to cut back on how much they budget for my services. Well I was charging them a ridiculously low rate per hour for what I do, but that is beside the point.
They cut it in half. OUCH!!!
OUCH!! Big time. That was the majority of my income.
I sat down and did some budget work with pencil and paper and a calculator.
I can just make ends meet.
Kevin, how does this Bad News = Good News?? you may ask...
The way I look at it... now I am freed up those hours I was working for him to pursue other means of making income with my business. Just need to decided which way to run and take massive action.
Yes, the budget constraints do put a serious damper on my goals, but not impossible.
Had to share... get knocked on my ass...stand up, put my dukes up and keep swinging.

Yes one has to stay optimistic at all times ..But this will make you spread efforts so you are not relying on just one or so clients etc

Dave, yes it may just be. My mother told me "I believe something better is out there waiting" or something similar. Yes, now time to refocus hard and turn the energy into that focus. I must confess, it is a bit like getting punched in the gutt.
I been there, done that...not a good feeling at all. But I have always picked myself up, dusted off the dirt, and started punching back. I occasionally get a good punch in and a KNOCKOUT now and then!!! WA offers you a great opportunity to take control of what you want to do. I sure like the control for myself and not letting the other guys dictate my future for me. You'll do well my friend!
