Celebration Time!

This week mom and I will have a teenager! YES, A TEENAGER! It does go to show how time flies and how getting wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of things you can lose that time. Mom has been taking so many pictures lately because time that is lost is time you can't get back and you will regret losing those moments. "Landon, you need to slow down boy!" I know our website is based around getting out and being active and even meeting new people, but we wanted to share his birthday present.

We were fortunate enough to swing the extra to get him a little minibike and give it to him a few days early. This boy has barely even showed his face inside the house since we gave it to him. Mom and I came to an agreement that he can earn money by doing extra chores to purchase gas and any extra items he wants. Hope this will be the start of him learning some life lessons and responsibilities.
Mom and I even got to enjoy some nice Sunday weather and started the Ol' Pit Boss grille up and grilled some dinner. He road for hours as we invited a few people over and had some nice grilled brats, burger, and good old fashioned hot dogs. The wife got some macaroni salad and potato salad and just had a good paper plate style picnic in our front driveway as we watched Landon enjoy his gift. He did have a job to do which was dog sit for the neighbors and he left his bike in their driveway as he went inside. Mom found the perfect opportunity to run down and steal his bike for a good laugh.
I can say as we got a good laugh Landon didn't find it funny because he had a few seconds of pure panic when he saw it gone. I just wish I could have got a quick picture of his face!! I can say this for sure that bike has not left without supervision since lol. I hope you all had a great weekend like we did and hope everyone has a great week to come.
