Site Comments - I'm Rarely Annoyed But.

Just wanted to post about site comments as I've had "one of those days" today and I rarley let things annoy me. But I decided to stop what I was doing have a break to cool down and do some site comments.

I completed one and was offered another one. When I comment I like to make sure that I do a good job, so I read the article thoroughly and started writing a comment. All in all I was at least 15 minutes only to find when I went to submit my comment I got the message " this request has already been completed"

Very annoying and 15 minutes wasted. If you have clicked on a comment to complete you should at least be able to finish it.

Anyway rant over, going for a walk with the dogs!

We have the same experience, I encountered that last evening. Because of that, I edited my comments several times but still.

Hi! Yes, I know how it feels when you have dedicated 20 - 30 mins of your life to a post and crafted out a unique comment and then this message comes up: “This request has already been completed”.

Kyle has already taken note of the issue. You can take a look here to what he has said:

This is something that never has happened to me but I had that same thing happen to me yesterday as well. I'm starting to think that maybe there is some sort of glitch in the system.

Tooooo many are experiencing the same issue.

MAYBE?????

Wayne

The same thing happened to me 3 times today, until I gave up since I had already wasted 45 minutes.

Not good

I had exactly the same thing happen today Kevin.

Derek

I must have left hundreds of comments over the past 6 months Derek and its the first time for me.

Lets hope its not something thats going to happen to often. I guess once in 6 months is ok but if you had the same thing happen today I wonder if it will become more frequent? Fingers crossed not.

It is annoying...I got one that said my comment was a duplicate, even though it certainly was not, and was told I had one chance to rewrite it. Before I could do so, it vanished. ??? what was that all about? I guess there is bound to be some little glitch now and then.

I've had that a time or two. It is frustrating because, if you're like me, you don't have time to waste.

Best wishes,
Karin :)

Same thing happened to me. So annoying!

Thanks for sharing. I've never seen it before but you're right. We started it already and we actually take the time to read to give a good comment. So she would be allowed to complete it and submit t.

Thats my though process. I really don't like wasting time and had already wasted most of my day, but I guess thats what made it worse!!

Yea, wasted time! Seeing as most of us have other jobs and our time is limited.

Same thing happened to me a little while ago. My guess is that it's because the person requested only one comment and accepted one before I had submitted mine. I agree with you though, if you click to submit a comment you should be able to complete the process.
I find that when I request one comment, sometimes I'll get several submitted - basically until I approve one. And, once they're submitted, I can approve as many of them as I want without additional credits being deducted from my balance, which is nice.
Hopefully that aspect of the system isn't being changed!

Yes I have the same that I often only request one and receive multiples which I guess is a good thing. But I have never had this happen before.

Probably would have shrugged my shoulders normally but it came after I had already been having a bad day!!

Good info to know, I won't approve any right away so that anyone who wants to comment can do so!

I just saw that someone else posted about this. They said it happened to them several times in a row, so I think there's definitely some kind of change being made. Hopefully they adjust it so anyone who has started the process can submit, and the requester will just have to use more credits if they want to accept more comments than they initially requested. That seems more fair and also like it wouldn't cause rushed, low-quality comments.
Will be interested to see if they put out some kind of announcement about whatever changes they're implementing.
