Hello, I am thinking about creating a website about football or ''soccer'' I pretty much know everything about the sport, the players and everything. I have been creating articl

Good question. I am a retired football coach of 25 years and I have been thinking the same thing. I feel that I can offer a unique perspective on the game and I even have 50% of a book completed on the subject.

I have hesitated because there are so many great football sites out there. Do a thorough search on Google and you will be shocked at the number of excellent football sites out there.

Understanding the circumstances, I think one can make it in football if they offer a niche that no one else covers. Think about it carefully. It could be high school football in a certain state or a college football team. Something that lowers the amount of competition that you have to face.

As an example of a large market, I love college football and one of my pet peeves is the absolute joke called the college rankings. I would love to write about it however there are too many sites that already do. It would take years to break into that market, if even then.

Well, I hope this helps some and good luck.

Thanks for your honest opinion. I was initially thinking about creating a website about Real Madrid but since its the most popular club in the world, there already are websites that cover everything about that team.

I'm gonna have to think of another team.

Thanks again!
