A Beginners Blog.
Slowly, Slowly catchee monkey... as my dad used to say.
So, five weeks here on WA (where has all that time gone) and it feels like five months! I have learnt so much.
I have created a website about one of my passions, my favourite football team, and I am nearly at the point where I am ready to transfer it to a domain and start welcoming comments and reviews.
I am happy with what I have achieved so far but I have so many more ideas for page’s blogs etc that I want to add, but I need to get it launched and then add the content as I go along.
My only regrets from my first month on WA is that I have not managed to get more involved in the community because I have been spending most of my time building my site. I also wanted to be able to go yearly to save money on the ongoing cost, but have not been able to drum up the funds as yet, hopefully soon.
I love reading peoples blogs and training and there are so many good ideas out there. I was trying to remember everything or write it all down in my diary but have just discovered the favourite button (lol) and now just save and tag everything for future reference.
Live chat is great as well as there are some really knowledgable regulars on there like Rich and leo and many others. I have spent many hours on there. It is quite addictive.
So anyway, I have resolved that ready or not my site is going live next week and fingers crossed it will get google indexed without any issues.
Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful training, the quick response to my requests for help, and for being such a friendly community.
It’s a joy to belong.

Greetings Ken!
Seems like you're moving along at a good pace. There were two words that I heard repeatedly when I started: overwhelming and addictive, so it seems you're right on track, lol. It's been 4 months now for me, and I really don't think I'll ever grow tired of this community.
There will be days when your focus is more on your site and less on the community, and days when you're engaged within the community for hours, and do little or nothing on your site. I've just learned to accept it, and make the necessary adjustments when needed. I usually like to give myself about 2 hours in the morning to check in, to see what's going on, but sometimes those 2 hours go rather quickly, and ends up going into overtime, lol.
Keep up the great work Ken, I think you have accomplished quite a lot in such a short period of time.
Hi Veronica. Thanks for your comment. Its good to know I am not the only one worrying about my priorities on WA.

You are getting it done. I think you are wise to wait to publish your site until you really feel comfortable with it. All the best.
Thanks Jim. A website is never the finished article as it will always need refining and updating and I guess at some point we just have to accept to get it out there..for better or for worse.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
