I Learned A New Trick for Social Engagement
Hello, Wealthy Affiliate Fam,
This neat little trick is for the newbies out there like me who are new to building blogs. I was browsing YouTube just about and hour ago and I came across this tip on how to engage your readers a little more....it's a free plugin for your wordpress site and its called Super Socializer.
Super Socializer? What is That?
Glad you asked! Super Socializer is a simple little plugin (google it then download and install to your wordpress blog, TRUST ME!) and what it does is....installs little floater icons with social media icon (you can choose which social media platforms) that readers can click on and share your blog to their social media accounts....like Facebook and Reddit and Whatsapp, and more! In this way, if a person is really enjoying your content, they can instantly share it with their friends.... How cool is that? I thought it was really cool.. I've seen these floaters on other websites and now you can install them on your blogs too!!
The plugin is super easy to install and set up. There are even demos built into the plugin in your backoffice so you can follow along with the easy instructions, and you will have floater Facebook icon shares on your blog in no time!! Click on my websites to the right under my blog posts and see them in action!
Take Care and Good Luck,
Ken Burgess

I use Sassy Social Plugin, and I disable the floating social media plugin part of it. I HATE floating social media icons for sharing, it's very distracting and makes me back away from a website no matter how good the content is. Plus it comes across as more... "LOOK! SHARE NOW!" and distracts from the content.
I know some people use the floaters, but I prefer to use the share buttons on the bottoms of my posts, that way, if they like it, they can share it.
It's a user experience type thing. I don't like them, I know other people don't like them when they're reading content too, but I know other people who don't mind them. Personally, I'd go for one that doesn't float around and stick to your page, but that's just me.
Glad you found a plugin you liked, though.
Hi Ken. I did have a plug in with the floaters but it slowed down my site. It was a different one to this so hopefully yours will perform better. Jim
Yeah, that's the problem with all these free plugins, you don't know what are gems and what are useless rocks...I got lucky with this one, it actually speeds up page load speeds in my ping test. Lightweight plugin for the win!
Hi Ken, have you checked whether the plugin speed load is low or high. Plug in stuffing can slow your sites according to Jay, our trainer. Jay teaches no more than 5 plugins. Other members refute that. Just curious. You can google page speed. Compare before and after and do a screen shot, as I am curious. Thanks.
I did as you asked, so I went to a site called Pingdom. I ran a speedtest in the US from my location in Tx to San Fran CA. The first test was with the plugin active, the second test was when I deactivated the plugin... here are the screenshots.... as you can see, my page actually loads faster with the plugin ACTIVATED, and I currently have 12 plugins running on my paid website at Godaddy. The site loads with SSDs, which makes all the pages load very quickly. The plugin, in this case, is negligible, and actually increased my page load times.
