Getting there, slowly but surely!

Is anyone else struggling with juggling the training and writing blog posts simultaneously?

I know it's such a simple thing to just follow the steps, but I've decided to skip the posting for a while and just concentrate on getting through the training, and then bang out the blog posts afterwards! I know this will put a hault on my progress but I will feel much better doing it this way, so I can concentrate on one thing at a time and put my all into it.

Thoughts? Has anyone else done this?

My opinion.
Learning and building your site at the same time would be a better option as you are implementing what you have learned onto your site while it still fresh in your mind. If you encounter any problem, at least you can raise question, get the answer before moving on.

However, it's more of personal preference.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for this - the same has crossed my mind! I just need to re-think my approach as I suppose it will be much better to follow the training properly!

Thanks,
Kel

Slowly but surely is no joke! I Just started the training today and I asked myself how I was going to pace the posting and learning. What I've found helpful is to plan out your posts way ahead of time! I have and ideas page in google docs where I brainstorm, then I take a few ideas and make them come to life! I have 3 posts thats I have finalized now but not posted, but they are ready when I am.

Hey Lilly,

I think it just takes me a while to write a post sometimes, so then I feel like its delaying the training and I'm just getting stuck? When I struggle to finish a post I feel like I'm putting a halt on everything, whereas if I just get the training out of the way I know that I've done it and have all the knowledge and can just write..

If that makes sense?! I just need to re-think my approach
Good luck with yours, thanks for the advice!

I've read advice to do the training and prescribed activities as they come, so that's the route I'm taking. I know what you are saying about the time it takes to do the training and the associated activities. My nature is to move ahead, but I'm trusting that the experts on this one.
I hope you have success as you move forward.

Thanks Jeff,

I posted as I went along in the training because I was afraid that I would forget what that particular lesson was about regarding content if I continued with the training without posting.

Also, posting within each lesson forces you to publish content so your site is already working towards getting ranked in google.

In the end I guess it depends on how quickly you get through the training. That said, I don't think I would be able to crank out posts ever! lol, I need a some time in between each one to get inspired.

Well I'm kind of near the end which is why I'm thinking to just power through the last bit! I have about 7 posts already so I've got it started.

I find it easier to just write one after the other as I get ideas from my current post to include in my next haha!

Thanks for the advice, all the best with yours :)
