Day 2: Writing for a Passion and NOT for Money....
I got a lot of great comments from my Day 1 blog.
Concerning the question about getting in this to only make money. I do write blogs to provide information, I originally came on here to see if I could get more traffic to my blogs. I'm not very knowledgable about getting trafic to my websites and figure this place would be a great start. I love writing about my hobbies (knitting), wildlife rehab, pets, etc. I'm very passoniate about many things and would just like to get my opinions out there.As far as the membership; with the free membership you get access to 2 free websites and Lesson 1. I believe the content on WordPress looks much nicer than my blog, so I've already started to transfer my knitting blog from blogspot onto one of the free ones here. I just think it looks more professional.
The reason I do these odd job, going to these survey site, is because it does bring in extra income and I"m hoping to eventually use that money I earn to pay for the premium. I have to admit, I've been burned a lot in the past. I'm not new to the affiliate marketing world and yes I have tried every shinny object I've seen. I do plan on purchasing the premium soon. Until then the is what I've been doing:
1) I found streetarticles.com and have already submitted (and been approved) my first article. It was about taking care of an African Pygmy Hedgehog. I've had one for about 4 years now and believe I can help people out there who are thinking of getting one. I decided to take the 1 article a day for 30 days challenge, because it will help me with my writing skills. I love to write but know I need to work on my grammar and vocabularly. Plus each time I write a new topic, I get to learn new things.
2) As of now, I do think I'm going to start focusing more on writing more than filling out surveys. They do bring in a little money but I can make more with oDesk and Elance. I think some people do find it difficult to understand why I just don't "bite the bullet" and pay the pemium. It's matter of not havng the extra $47 a month. To you, that may not sound a lot, but for our family that is. But enough of my whineyness, I will find a way, it just won't be now. I can still go over Lesson 1, write on my 2 websites, and write artices for street articles.
3) Focus on good quality writing content and find my niches.

Hi Kelli, I think you're smart to do this the way you've been doing. I didn't get premium right away, either. Then, I had to borrow the money, which I wasn't real keen on doing. I think, just from seeing your writing, you are doing well. Plus, this community is so helpful. I completely understand you waiting to spend the money. It just means you're working smart!
