Write out your goals and write them again and again.

One of the first things you are asked when joining Wealthy Affiliate is what are your monetary goals. How much money would make you happy? How much would make you ecstatic? How much time are you willing to commit to this endeavor. I've learned that monetary goals are great but don't limit yourself to only money.
Money isn't everything!
Like you've heard before, "Money isn't everything". Set some personal goals as well. Money will allow you to do a lot of things and to go to a lot of places, but there is more to life than that. A few months ago I was involved in an online marketing workshop for work. One session was strictly oriented to goal setting.
Setting Goals
We were each asked to write down 6-8 goals that we wanted to accomplish. Of course the first 2-3 involved getting money, having money or getting something specific when we had the money.
As I got further down the list I noticed that my goals tended to gravitate toward personal and health goals. I am 6'5" tall and weighed around 255 lbs. I set a personal health goal to be down to 215 lbs. by the end of 2018. I have 10 more pounds to lose to reach that goal.
Other goals were to spend more time with my grand kids, not add any new credit card debt, start exercising more (still got more work to do on that one), and a few others. Then we were asked to place them into short (next 90 days), mid term (in the next year), and long term (next 3 years) goals.
Three Lists
It boils down to this. I have 3 lists of goals:

Goals for the next 90 days
Goals for the next year
Goals for 3 years from now.
My lists have 3-4 goals on them. They range from monetary to health to personal achievement. I write these goals each morning in a journal. Then I keep the journal open on my desk to be a constant reminder of where I am going.
Change is inevitable
Don't be afraid to change your goals. Things happen in life and we have to adjust to them. You can adjust or replace items that are on your list as circumstances change. What is a priority today may not be one tomorrow.
Then re-write
I re-write these goals each morning from memory. This is hard to do at first. It's OK to look back from time to time. What you will soon find out is that the goals that really have a meaning to you pop right into your head without even thinking about them.
Sharing
We were asked to share them with a few people that we though we could be comfortable sharing them with. Only if you were comfortable with it. I did share mine with 3 people. There was no judgment and nothing was ever said about them. It was like an extremely quiet support group. We knew what each others goals were and that was enough for each of us.
The point...
The point is to make some goals easier to achieve than others and to make some goals that you really have to work for. If all your goals are the later, you stand a higher chance of burning out from not achieving any of your goals or not seeing any achievement in your near future.
I've added working on my WA website daily as a goal on all three lists. It's a given. I hope that this will you assist you or give you some food for thought about what goals are motivating you as you begin your WA training.
Best of luck in all your endeavors.
