Pancakes or Waffles?

Isn't it funny how two foods can be made with the exact same ingredients, but if they are cooked and prepared differently, they end up looking and tasting completely different?

I bet you didn't know that pancakes and waffles are made from the same recipe. Well, maybe you already knew that. But there are a lot of people who believe that because pancakes and waffle taste a bit different that they must be made with different ingredients.

And now you may ask, "well why do they taste different?" It is because of how they are made and prepared.

Starting with Pancakes...

First things first, you need to gather your ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, milk, eggs, and butter.

Now, mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, and in a separate bowl, stir together the milk, eggs, and melted butter. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, and stir until you have a smooth batter.

Next, heat up a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat, and pour a scoop of batter onto the surface. Watch the batter slowly transform into a fluffy pancake, and use a spatula to flip it over once you see bubbles forming on the surface.

Once both sides are cooked to perfection, slide your masterpiece onto a plate and add your favorite toppings. Whether you prefer classic maple syrup or something more adventurous like peanut butter and banana, the possibilities are endless.

Now as for waffles...

So you see, pancakes are made on a skillet and waffle are made in a waffle maker, that is why they taste a bit different.

You have probably read to this point and wondered to yourself... why the hell is this guy talking about pancakes and waffles?

This concept relates to people as well, and why people are so different from each other. Even though we are all human and we all pretty much have the same features, and characteristics, we all have been through different experiences and life changing events.

What makes up a person and their personality is their experiences. That ultimately determines the way that they perceive the world and how they react to it.

When dealing with people, one thing to keep in mind is that everyone is different. Everyone is unique in their own way. Each person views the world in their own unique way. So when you are communicating with other people, know that what you think about something may not be what someone else thinks about it. What you believe to be good, someone else may believe to be bad.

Never be too quickly to judge someone based on what you see from the outside, although each of us may look different in the end we are all the same. We are all just pancakes and waffles.
