The Best Father's Day Present Ever: The Wedding of My Daughter

On Saturday at 11 am, my daughter got married to her fiance of 6.5 years. The weather was sunny 75 degrees with little to no humidity. The day was magical and perfect!

The day started at 8 am with a breakfast for the bridesmaids that I cooked. The menu was pancakes, sausage, and bacon with orange juice. My daughter's request.

After breakfast, I went upstairs to get dressed. As I am getting dressed and ready to put my tie on, I see this picture on my tie. This was our first father/daughter dance We did this together every year.

My daughter always wanted to be a princess so she fulfilled her wish. She was a beautiful princess. After the ceremony, we had pictures and transitioned to the reception.

When the wedding party was introduced, they did their first dance and then we ate.

After dinner, there was the father/daughter dance. She chose Cinderella as our first dance. She cried the whole dance and I had lots of tears myself. My daughter and I have a special bond like a lot of fathers and their daughters.

Dancing then began for everyone, We had 100 people at the reception. There was a 3-year-old who wanted to hug the princess. She ran over and gave my daughter a big hug, Later she wanted to dance with the princess which my daughter did with her. It was so sweet.

Towards the end, I had a dance that I wanted to dedicate to her called Butterfly Kisses. Tears flowed from both of us. My daughter is a traditional ballet dancer so I have been to a ton of recitals, competitions, and performances as she was growing up.

I could not have asked for a more perfect and beautiful day! I was asked to share this with you. I could talk about this for hours.
