Goodbye 2018.
It's been quite the year...
As the sunsets on 2018 I have found myself reflecting on the year that has been. By all accounts, it's been a quite good one. Despite a few bumps along the way, mainly health of extended family members, our family finished the year in good spirits and for that I am truly grateful.
From a personal perspective, my focus has been on more 'pressing matters' in our accommodation business, which definitely impacted my impacted my ability to achieve the goals I'd set for my online business. Without boring you with the details, let's just say that despite challenges along the way, the outcome (once we'd worked through those challenges) has put us in a much stronger position to move into 2019 with confidence and renewed energy. So that's a good thing - even though a part of me feels disappointed that for the last few months, my online efforts have fallen short of the mark.
So yesterday I sat down with a pen and paper and spent some time just picking apart my efforts with WA since I joined 18 months ago. Six pages full of drawings, diagrams, writing and notes later, I have a real sense of clarity and the makings of a plan to move forward into 2019.
It's a good feeling.
Most importantly;
- I have certainty about what needs to stay, and what needs to go
- I can see how WA fits into this plan and how remaining engaged and plugged in to this fabulous online community will help me achieve my online business goals and also the goals of our bricks and mortar accommodation business.
Let's just say, I've missed you guys!
I'm really hoping that 2019 will bring the chance to reconnect with the great people I've met here at WA, and hope that together we can move forward into the New Year with the confidence and motivation to achieve whatever our affiliate marketing goals might be.
For me personally, writing this post gives me a sense of 'closing the chapter' on 2018, and by doing so, I'm now turning my attention to 2019.
A big part of my plan is to revisit much of the training I did here last year. There's so much information here which I know will crank up our google rankings and website traffic, not to mention help me create effective sales funnels to drive new business - it would be silly (not to mention wasteful) to ignore these resources which I have paid for in my (extremely affordable black friday) premium membership!
So that's me. It's the 1st of January. It's great to be back... I'm here and ready to put the work in. I am really looking forward to reconnecting with this wonderful WA community. If you have taken the time to read this, thank you. Please leave a comment and let me know what 2019 has in store for you, and where you are on your exciting online journey, I'd love to hear from you.
Best wishes and Happy New Year...
Onwards and upwards, Karen

Hi Karen! Glad to see that you're back. You were missed. :) Sorry to hear about your challenging year. Seems like that was happening to many of us and making it more difficult to spend quality time on WA! I hope that 2019 will be highly productive for you. Welcome back!
Colleen
