No clicks for the last 7 days...

Man, this kind of sucks! I thought that I had been marketing well, but I haven't seen any clicks in the past week! The click count is only 10 for the past month, which is kind of discouraging.

I know I am still new, but I would really like to succeed at this business! Is there something that I am missing that people just aren't clicking on my site? I get some visitors, but hardly any of them click!

I am in need of some marketing feedback, since this is something I am new at, I want to make sure that I am getting it right! I don't want to overwhelm with ads, but I don't know if I just don't have enough.

I update my "Deal of the Day" section every weekday and there is a clickable product link and a banner on that page!

Please help :)

Hi, like others said, just keep adding content, i have been here for like two months now, google has not been encouraging me with traffic, most of my traffic comes from social network, you can hang around social network and continue to add more content.

You will see that those traffic will come, i noticed that it takes time to get ranked, sometimes weeks and sometime a month, i noticed that recently, so i agree with what others said that you should give it more time. Use google analytics and submit a sitemap to google webmaster, if you have not, also submit to bing.

Use jaaxy and go for the low hanging fruits with QSR less than 100 so that you can easily get ranked. Dont worry Sister, you will get there, keep adding contents, hang in there, dont give up, if others did it, you can, stay passionate about what you are doing.

Kelly :)

Thanks Kelly! I think I have done almost everything in there! I just gotta keep writing! Sometimes it is hard to keep writing when I don't see any traffic! Makes it hard to want to get anything done! The first two weeks I literally worked and worked for like 12 hours straight haha! Its slowly starting to dwindle though! I just need a little boost of motivation to keep going!

I suggest should also give youtube a trial, do videos and upload them to youtube, its the best way to get ranked, write an do a video on it. When you publish an article, tweet it immediately, it helps.

Dont worry, you will get there, i know how you feel, i advise you move up your navigation bar above the redesign your home on a budget so that your visitors can see them quickly, also if possible it will be better you move those navigation, affiliate banners to the right, its kinda distracting on the left.

People read from left to right, so if some people see that, them might be tempted to click and will leave your site immediately, most buyers dont buy the first time they visit a site, so i think its better to keep them in your site for long and then they can trust you and develop love for your write-ups.

One of your page content is very short, couldnt look at all, you can add some more words, aim for a minimum of 400 words.

A thought from Kelly. :)

I will definitely give youtube a try! That is something I haven't ever done before, but I think I can try it haha! I think I am going to have to find a better theme! I don't know how to change any of that stuff, so I will have to find something that better suits my needs!

Go for a paid theme if possible, its the best, you can check out elegant themes, they have good themes, i use theme, and with just $35 or so, you will have access to 87 themes. It yearly, you can revert if you dont want them anymore.

I heard that woo themes are good too, choose the one that better suit your need. Hope to read your success story.

Kelly. :)

Here is the link to my site if any of you need it!

Thank you!!

Like a lot of businesses it is hard on the start up just keep going and refining till you get the formula that works, wish you lots of luck

Just hang in there and keep adding content. I have been doing this for almost 3 months and I can tell you its full of ups and downs, frustration and confusion.

Hey Katie,
You need tor write more content. When you have a lot of content, there's a much greater chance that someone will come across your website than if you only had a few pages.

Like others here have stated, give it some time. Make sure you use Google's tools like Analytics and Webmaster tools to see what is working and make adjustments on what is not.

Sometime just adding some more content to an existing post can bring it to life.

Also, make sure that you are using internal links when you find that it fits in your content. This lowers your bounce rate considerably which will allow Google to rank you better.

Your site looks great, BTW!

Best Regards,
Jim

What exactly are internal links? Sorry I am unfamiliar with that! Yeah I have been looking at Analytics and I have found that the days that I use Pinterest or Facebook I seem to get a lot of traffic, but just an organic search is very hard to come by. Thanks for taking a look!!

Hey Katie,
Internal links are links to pages/posts within the same website or your website. If a visitor is reading page one and you get them to go to page two from page one within your website, this will reduce your bounce rate which is very good from an SEO perspective.

Best Regards,
Jim

Oh perfect! Thanks for explaining that! I have done it once, but I will continue to incorporate those! Thank you!

I was looking at your site and there's something I noticed about some of your photo's that is pretty common in a lot of sites. This may just be me but I'm going to throw it out there anyways.
When I click on some of the photo's, I get a larger version of that photo. If I close the photo rather than clicking the back button, I leave your site.
I would not make photo's clickable unless it leads to an affiliate offer OR another page within your site. I would also make sure they open in a new window.
When you are showing photo's of examples where "this" looks better than "that", you may want to have a link to that product.
Not by asking people to "click here" but just placing the link naturally with the content.
Hope this helps:)

I will definitely go back and check to see what photos do that and which ones don't! Sometimes when I am posting I forget to get rid of the link! So you think that the link shouldn't be in the image but rather in the text? Or both? Thanks for your feedback!

It's fine to have an image as a link to an offer. Sometimes images work better and sometimes text links work better. It's something you'll have to test once you start getting good daily traffic:)

Okay, thanks for the advice! I will definitely try a few different methods! I guess its a lot of trial and error!!

Do you want to post a link to your site so we can see if there is anything about the site that is an issue? :) Beverley

You need to be patient. You just started over a month ago.

I find when I add new content my traffic decreases then a week later it picks back up again. Not sure why.

You need to track what you are doing with your site so you know what works and what does not. Do not may any drastic changes all the time. Make one change and see what happens. Give it a week to take effect. Debbie

If you have a lot of time you could try going to forums and offering your advice and try to drive people to your website that way, but you have to be careful how you do that. Most forums only allow you to create a signature as a way of telling people about your website. Also, this method can be very time intensive, but it might be worth a try.
God bless,

Okay, that sounds like a great thing to further look into and give a try! Thanks for your advice!

Great question! Are you utilizing the key word tools for your site content? I feel my site is unfinished but I still see it drives traffic and I had about 40 clicks the first week it went live. I'm interested in hearing other member's feedback to your question as well.

I feel like I am using the best keywords that are available for my niche, but I find that many of them don't have an estimated traffic over 50. That is something that I am really struggling with. Maybe I just need to work on my keywords?

Have you tried Jaaxy? You might need to "dig" more, but try to find the low hanging fruit. Another cool site, is Google trends. I don't know if your niche is very cyclical, but you should use it sometime.

Yeah I have tried to follow some trends, one of which I did was Valentines Day and I found that post ranked higher in google, but I don't really have a trendy niche haha
