Can you help me straighten this out?
Okay, let's try this again.
I sent this to site support and was told this is a question for the community.
I made some changes to my site, apparently, at exactly the same time WA launched its new look. When I started yesterday afternoon, it looked one way and when I finished an hour or so later, the site looked completely different. Meanwhile, I removed one of the pages from my main menu, "start here" but afterward, including now, the "Start here" and the three or four sub items are now scattered across the top of my home page and I can't figure out how to get rid of them. The reason I did what I did in the first place was because the menu was crowded and redundant. I'm trying to streamline the look but it looks worse now than before I began. Can you help me straighten it out? I've tried everything I can think of.

if you create a new menu with what you want and keep it to one line....
then set that as your main menu....
you can create any number of menus and call them different logical names and try them out one by one on your niche and see which they respond to better....
it does look a bit cluttered at the top at the moment - but keep working on it and you will get there...
Thanks for your response. The problem is, it looked fine before. All I tried to do was remove one item from my main menu. My menu widget no longer shows the page I removed, "start here" but it's still showing on the top of my home page as are the sub items that were neatly placed below it before I removed the page. I don't know how to remove the clutter.
i would create a new menu item and use that ...
it maybe that something has become corrupted so you may need to restore a backup via support....
but try a new menu first to make sure that what you change is actually happening...
are some of the others pages rather than posts...
can you drag them to the right under one of the other menu items to add them as sub menus and tidy it up that way...
Luckily I made a copy of the page before starting this. If I can't get it fixed, I may go back to the original pages. However, as I mentioned, I deleted a page from the main menu after making the copy. I don't know how it'll affect what it looks like now.
To reply to what you're suggesting, I am unable to do anything with what you see. I can open them up but, I can't do anything with them in reference to the menu. I've tried. I understand what you're saying but I've not been able to do that.
I'd like it if site support would have a look.
it does sound like a glitch on your site and support would be the logical choice....
it might be worth putting a statement ' please acknowledge the receipt of this ticket' at the end of your request as support is getting a bit patchy...
you may actually know whether they are going to help or not...
i would get them to restore a good backup from before the glitch and take it from there - or get them ot create a staging site from the backup to check it...

Hey Bob, it seems you may have multiple menus there. If you can't undo the change, then redo the menu from scratch. It could also be messed up CSS code. If all else fails, contact support.
Thanks Hein V, I contacted support first and was told to let the community help. Frustrating to say the least.
