The Trap of Negative Thoughts
So I was reading through some comments on a post and found something Kyle had written that really made me stop and think.
"Fear of failure often times will lead to inaction. But inaction is unfortunately the biggest culprit of failure."
You see, it has been a stange week for me.
I was working hard on my website, in my living room at midnight and my front door opened. My first thoughts, 'my husbands home early.' He works nights, finishes between 1am and 2am normally.
I said hi. I turned around. My home was being invaded by someone with ill intent.
I dived out of my chair and grabbed the nearest weapon (we can argue over whether a hairbush is a suitbale weapon another time) I yelled.
The invader ran for it.

What would have happened if I had failed to act? If I had froze and let the thoughts of failing to win in a battle overwhelm me. After the fact these thoughts went over and over in my mind adn I found even the memory of a thought of failure could freeze me up.
This led me to realize, when I'm working on my WA I can't even think about failing to make this work. What would happen if I let those thoughts freeze me, thoughts of never succeeding, never seeing any result? would I freeze? Better to not have the thoughts at all. As Kyle says thoughts of failure can lead one to freeze. Freezing can lead to the death of a dream.
So what do I do when I think of failure?
I look at the positive. I am making a portfolio of all the successes Icome across on WA large and small. not whole articals, just segments. Quotes that mean somthing, thoughts that build up, moments that give hope.
MelWaller started a challenge.
Write a book of quotes in 30 days.
I think that's exactly what I'll do. I'll write a book of WA hopeful and success quotes for myself and, if no objections, make that same ebook available for free download for any other WA members who need help focussing on making it work.
With that said here is a quote of my own to keep me going.
Knowing it will work will lead to action. Believing it will work will lead to passion.

But I learned to keep the door locked. Gotta think positive, learned something so it's not all bad.
I have always kept my door locked as always have the fear of that happening. You are just very fortunate that it turned out as well as it did.

It’s a shame that in today’s society we need to lock our doors. All the best in your 30 day challenge.
yeah, I recently moved back from wales. Out there for 10 years. no one locks their doors and there are never any problems. cities are treacherous.
