I have been with WA since June, I am so confused I am following the training and not sure what I am doing wrong the only people who come to my site are though referal. I have not had any organic search traffic. I am confused with Google analitics it tells me I have errors with headings and no meta tags how can I learn more about this?

I am using low hanging fruit maybe I am just doing it worng I feel like a hopless person right now. Any help would be appreciated as I really don't want to give up.

A meta description tag is generally used to inform the search engine with a short, informative summary of what your page is about. Add the meta description in the relevant field in your site's SEO plugin.

If you're getting a heading tag error, it has to do with the H1, H2 etc. headers in your post. While you are in the text editor, click on the drop-down menu where it says “paragraph”. You will see six heading tag options. Highlight the text, click on the appropriate option and the heading tag will be added automatically.

Once you have set up your website in the correct manner and followed on-page SEO optimization techniques, after choosing appropriate long tail keywords with enough traffic, you should be receiving organic traffic.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Kay,

Did you know that it takes at least 100 posts for Google to consider you an authority site? Only then does it reward you with consistent higher rankings.

Of course, there are all the other SEO factors that members here who have responded here mentioned.

I know it is hard not to feel discouraged. You are not doing anything wrong. I suggest looking at the webinars by Jay on Google Analytics, Search Console, Keywords, SEO strategies to start with.

Another member wrote a blog about seeing a significant improvement in her rankings after following the instructions in the following webinar from Jay. I am going to check that out and I suggest you do too: I wish you much success in your online business journey.

Cheers!

Edwin

Don't get discouraged. Check your niche, key words, links and make sure your content answers the question people are asking.
You will be successful.

Hi Kay, new blogs take time to gain Google’s notice. Can I ask what is your average word count for each post you make? Try to write 1,200 to 1,500 words per post.

Secondly, write with intent so you know the keywords you are using are actually going to bring traffic to your site. Don’t write without a plan.

Thirdly, don’t expect your traffic to mushroom any time soon. You’ll probably need to put 12 months effort in before you start to see organic traffic increase much.

Fourthly, make sure you have social media accounts attached to your blog and for every new post you make on your blog, also post a link to the article on the social media accounts.

Just get your head down, create great content and the traffic will come.

Hope this helps,
Dave

Hi Kay, I suggest you ask for feedback on your site using the Site Feedback function under websites. Members can look at your site and offer suggestions.

Hi Kay,

First off...don't worry! It takes some getting used to, but as long as your following the training you'll have a good solid foundation to start.

If you are concerned about why you don't have as much traffic to your site, that's normal. Any site will take a while to get organically searched and indexed. Here are some pointers that I've learned along the way regarding traffic:

1. Content Content Content - create as many "high quality" content as you can about your passion/niche. Don't go for quantity, go for quality always. As your site builds more and more content, so to will you site get indexed faster and organically grow.

2. Don't spend too much time focusing on google analytics at this point. If you are seeing little traffic, don't get caught up in all the "analytics" yet. You don't want to get in a state of "analysis paralysis," because if you do - you wont focus on the right things and wont move forward. Worst case - you give up, we don't want that to happen! Go back to #1 - just focus on writing content.

3. Ask the WA community for comments! If you haven't done so, use this thread to ask for site comments (I suggest you bookmark this thread too!) Its a great way to get more traffic and build comments on your website. The more comments/interaction on your site, the better! It is a give a take, so be sure to return the favor by commenting on others sites as well. I always come back here for more comments so I can boost my posts.

Hope this helps you. Goodluck and let me know if you need any more help.

Mark

Thanks, Mark yes I do make of that, will keep going

Try this training about SEO and Meta Tags:

Thank you will do

Hey girl, don't worry it happens to everyone who begins with affiliate marketing! I went through that and look, I'm still here more ready than ever to build a passive income :D

Your website is young it is normal that organic traffic is not there now, but it will surely come. SEO is probably one of the slowest techniques in 2019. My website is 6 months old and I started to see consistent traffic last month. I felt what you feel now, I wanted to give up, but I didn't and now I can see traffic on my site. I was patient and hustling.

If you want to improve your SEO, I suggest you watch Jay's training here, it really helped me in my ranking. He teaches about Meta tags and all this stuff :) Take a look! I hope I helped a bit, but my #1 tip stays: do not ever give up!

Audrey

So glad you are getting there, I can't give up I need to make this work for my family thanks for the link I will check it out.

I wish I could offer you some assistance but I am still new at this also. Would love to know how you go about fixing this. Good Luck, I am sure it is just a minor pothole on the journey.
Warm Wishes
Pam
