Hi All,

Just curious what happens after the 7 Day premium trial ends for Starters? For instance Me (Starter Member) Will I still be able to ask for assistance? How/Who c

thats the main thing you lose...the ability to contact others or ask questions....
you keep everything else...the website...accessibility to the training ( level one)...access to the two classrooms... use of sitecontent....
so you can learn by looking and watching, but not asking...
good luck
phil

Well, that sucks, so looks like I'll be creating this business/website blind folded. Right now I can't afford the premium package planning on purchasing it once I have clients/sales to pay for it.

Thanks anyway

"Enough Clients to cover the cost"

well..not quite blindfolded.....
you just cannot ask questions - but most of the questions you think about asking have already been asked - with over 2 million accounts created - then people have similar issues....
or a bit of creativity says that a lot of people have created mmo sites and have a contact page - so find people you trust and find their sites - even though i am not allowed to say you can contact people outside wa - use their contact page if you really get stuck...
your success nowdepends on your attitude - good attitude , you have a better chance of succeeding - poor atitude, youmight as well go through the training and then try something else....

Good point, will come up with some ideas I can try, thanks for the advice?

question: How can I create a contact page for my website in Wordpress as a starter member? I know you need to install a plugin but that's only for Premium members.

thats a good question
the best i can do at the moment is to say
if you have a fb page add a link
if you have other sm then add links
andhte email address uses a link that looks like mailto:[email address]
the mailto link will open their email system with a new email to you...
so create this as a page and your can add it to your menu

had a quick poke around and if you activate the block editor ( settings - writing - allow users to change
then create a newpage and edit with the block editor - add a title of contact form
then click on the + top left and in the top box type form and you may get a form block - which will create your contact page....

Will defenitley give it a try, thanks for the advice much appreciated

Anything else I can add to my website, aside from Posts?

pages - but they do almost the same thing - but not added to the blog roll.
posts can be usde for a lot of different information
so 'how to's' 'reviews' 'best of' 'top10'
with the block editor you can almost create landing pages
this way you can drive traffic to these pages and see what happens
what else do you want to do

Ok, will come up with something. I Plan on making Reviews mostly on Tech Laptops, Desktops etc.

Lastly: Is it True that after 6 Months I won't have access to my website and lose it due to been a Starter Member even though it's active? See below post by Diane Scorpio

Yes, I'm new to Wealthy Affiliate :) Only started this week

just a little tip - target one type of person, do you talk to a pensioner the ame as a gamer - are their requirements the same....soyou can get more milage out of one laptop than just one review....
at the present you do lose your site after 6 months -so keep exporting your articles....( tools - export in your site dashboard)
but it maybeworth looking at hostigator and a cheap com site form elsewhere... you willneed ot put some money into your business at some point...or start a youtube channel (free)....
your google analytics can be added to your all in one seo - general settings and search console verified with google analytics ( right hand panel -scroll down and select google analytics)
the last para won't make sense till you get down the road a bit - but adding analytics assoon as poss gives you all the data on visitors.....
use the help in the plugins to learn more ( you will need to be more adaptable- but it is possible to learn it (others do it outside of wa so...))
so the main thing is to make these 6 months count - start getting visitors - find your audience and tell them about your solutions to their problems - they won't come looking for you- there istoo much other noise out there....
get about 6months to a years worth of fees together before joining - so you are not looking for the dollars every month- it makes a lot of difference in your writing style....
write every day - even if it is not for your site - get used to writing 1k-2k per day if not more....just free write to start with and then target a topic and then target a topic research and then write....
you have picked a competitive niche but it is posible to find cracks in there - so research what the big guys have done and fill the cracks - look at it from different customer perspecitves - students, professionals, general browsers, gamers, older people and talk to them in their language....
do they understand the need for big mb for ram or large capacity for hard drives - or the difference between ssd and hard drives...what do they need to know ( hence the reason for talking to each different customer differently....)
there's a lot of info above-sorry if it is too much, but as you are going to lose talking on the platform...

No need to apologise, For me the more information I gather the better, before the Premium Trial ends and I end up in a "Radio Silent Dead Zone" until I can afford the premium membership will take a while in my case it ends in 3 Days.

I mainly have a I.T Background worked as a PC Tech for a few years mainly for work experience and gained a lot of knowledge I'm also a gamer just not professional, and since lockdown started in March here in South Africa along with the global pandemic I've been stuck at home with No income and boredom since then.

That's why I decided to select Tech Reviews as my niche since I mainly read about the latest laptop or smart phones that comes out to the market. I'll put that and your advice to good use, again No need to apologise mate I appreciate you giving me advice on what to do and trying to encourage me to start

Thanks Mate, hopefully one day I'll be able to visit you I'm assuming the UK based on your financial goals question.

I do have Family and friends there

if you read those reviews with the head of different audiences do they talk to them individually or are they generic and talking to everyone...
if so maybe there is your gap in the market....
from what i have been reading the best way forward to make money is online...so everyone who has hte opportunity should at least explore whether they have the drive to have a go....
as you have found, it is a changing world and if you can setup a passive income and also other sources of income you are not compromised if one stops....everyone needs multiple streams of income....
as you guessed i am in the uk - out in the sticks, as people would say...
the main thing i could say is to get to know your audience - get to be able to create images of them using the kit into their head and most of the job of promoting is done....
and marketing...i struggle with this....but if you can market something well - as long as it is a good product- then you can make money....
if i was starting again i hope someone would say promoting digital products is one area you need to look at to get higher commissions...but again it comes back to multiple streams of income...

Hi - you can stay as a free starter member for as long as you want and work on your website for up to 6 months. However, you will lose all communication with the platform. You can read other members blogs and search for the answer to questions, but won't be able to ask questions yourself. You can't contact anybody.

If that's the case it might take me more than 6 months to get my website/business up and running for a number of reasons.

1. I'm in college
2. I'm limited and restricted as a starter member and might need some guidance
3. I know + - what to do, just don't know what content to include Being a blogger and Web design isn't new to me but it's definitely not my strong point

Thanks anyway

What happens after the 6 months are over? will my Wordpress account be removed/disabled along with my website?
