Inbox clearing, my chance at salvation

For months now I have been doing more and more to clear out my inboxes. Even before coming here, I had several, not including DMs on social sites. Before starting on WA I already had three websites. One for my massage business, one for my personal writing, and the third for my modeling work.

I love the camera and it loves me

Yeah, that's me. The model who upon meeting my first photographer developed a crush. I worked with several more photographers. Then the first photographer convinced me to be in a relationship with him. During that 7+ years, I abandoned everything and everyone creating an isolated bubble for myself.

Much more happened than that, but let's not get into that story. Let's just saying leasing that guy was the best choice of my life.

I loved being in front of the camera. That may be in part to my grandmother's influence who never seemed to put down her damn camera when I was around. She was also the one who always told me how photogenic I was. Between her compliments on my looks and my mother's, it's not hard to see why I tried modeling. It's ironic that my grandmother hates the fact that modeling is one of my hobbies. That could be to the fact that I have done some "artistic" work she finds displeasing. I've seen her appreciate the work of other models who have done the same. I get it though. I'm her granddaughter and she would rather see me take up a hobby like baking. Such as my cousin Molly, or horse model painting like Melissa.

Lockdown was a good thing for me

I don't know about where you're from, but during 2020 Arizona was locked down for two months. I loved being in lockdown. Not having to go to work. Finally having time to go through all my old photos and focus on my side projects. It was incredible.

I also found that as I really put time into my social media projects, they grew! My modeling photos, as amateur as they are, developed a following strong enough that people were paying me just so I could post more of them.

There's so much more to me

However, I got tired of it all being about how sexy I could be. I am very sexy, but I have a brain too. My brain is my favorite part of me. It's amazing and never shuts up. Seriously, trying to sleep at night is usually a disaster because those neurons never stop firing. Anxiety doesn't help much with that.

I decided to start going in a new direction. That's why I created my personal blog site. It attracted much less attention and I was OK with that. My content on social media pages started getting more attention from people I actually enjoyed getting Dm's from. People who wanted to have real conversations and not just to tell me how hot I was in my latest picture followed by dozens of emojis.

Seriously, some people really abuse emojis. I say we should start a movement to save the emoji's. Who's with me!

No one? Oh. OK, forget my outburst.

Dm's I started receiving, plus comments I had received on videos I had done to help others emotionally struck something.

I knew my direction, just not the steps to walk it

Thankfully WA is helping immensely with that. For the same reason, I decided my modeling page was no longer necessary. Instead the important part of that, my photo gallery and model bio are being blended into my personal site. This will also free up more content to be used for paid subscribers when I start doing that again.

However, because I'm putting so much of my personal writing into my blog here, I'm losing ideas for my personal blog. No bueno.

A quotable idea!

Skimming through my main inbox before doing the sociable stuff here on WA I noticed several emails I have just sitting in there. They're daily quotes. I had been copying and posting the quotes into a Wordpad to be used at a later time. The problem is I don't really have anywhere to use them.

My social media post captions are questions aimed at getting people to think about everyday things they may not always think about. They're kind of like ice breaker questions, that sometimes get very personal.

My personal blog is aimed in that same direction. However, I could use those quotes to start the posts there. People looking for someone to relate to love inspirational quotes! All while using this space on WA to clear out everything else in my head.

That means these posts here, will continue to be my personal ramblings which I will not edit to make prettier because damn it, personal thoughts don't always fit into readability, so there! Enjoy my run-on sentences and atrocious grammar! *Evil laugher*

Can you believe this is the girl who was always head of her advanced English classes and was the top person in the journalism club? I also have a bad habit of correcting others grammar when it's not welcome...*shrug*

Hey, at least I found a productive solution to my inbox problem.
