How Long Before Your Side Hustle Became Your Job?
I am ever greatful for finding Wealthy Affiliate. I now wake up in the morning and cannot wait to get to my computer to research and write. Most times I don't want to do my "real job" and actually have to make up my mind not to stay too long at WA site first thing in the morning. I so look forward to the day that my content makes me more money than my real job.
How does everyone else feel about that? Inspire me! I would love to hear how long it took you to be able to quit your real job. I want to know what your real job was like and what made you change over, what was the catalyst that made you confident to do it.
I would also like to know how the last recession affected your business and what you did to keep afloat. If there are any articles around about that, could someone tag me in them? I work in Real Estate and Marketing right now - in fact for 30 years. Real Estate has been a real challenge this year, very up and down. Marketing, well it seems to be the one thing people cut back on when they cut costs - so how do we position ourselves to keep consistent earning on our WA business?
Thank you WA family - I value your expertise. I'm a student of learning and I hope this post will inspire others. I thrive on this site - I love it and honestly - I cannot wait for the day this is my full time job.

Along with my 31-year-old locksmith company, I have had several side hustles incorporated in as income streams, Kathie! In this day and age we need as many of those as we can get, it seems!

I found WA just after my retirement. But that doesn't make it any less exciting in my life. As a matter of fact, it's supplementing my retirement income. All the best.

Thank you for that Jim - this will be my retirement job. I love it!
You're welcome. Let me know if I can help in any way.
