A New Disappointment

My site was rejected by Goodle AdSense and I have no idea what to do to make it more likely to be accepted or if this is something I will just need to accept as an impossibility. I haven't recieved any clicks that are profitable and am starting to believe that my niche is just too obscure or being drowned out by other sites. I know not to rely heavily on social media but if I am not going to rank in Google that may be my only shot.

If this one doesn't make it I don't know what other niche to try for that might be a better option. I don't know. I may just be wasting time, energy and money here with no real success. I am having conent paralysis because I am not sure how I am going to keep making any content after so long. I still have a bit left but don't want to burn out before I can set up more. I don't know what else to do before the trial period Amazon set up runs out. They give you 180 days to make sale clicks before dropping you from the affiliate program.

I'm wondering if the fact that my niche is based in crafting, relies on
candle crafters who want more options to work with which can create a problem with this current economy. How many are willing to spend money on crafting supplies when they have limited funding .right now from the pandemic. I have so many worries ad am not sure where to alleviate them.

Any advice or ideas are welcome.

Please Kat, don't be disappointed. It's not all lost, take the advice of Diane on your site. You have other options besides Google AdSense, there are so many other affiliate programs that can fit well into your niche. There are backdoors to this, there is a plugin in WordPress called Easy AdSense Ads that I think should be able to go around this. I don't want you to throw the towel, your niche has an audience, so don't drop it yet.

Hi - that plugin will only work if a website has been approved for Google AdSense, which isn't the case here.

I added it in as part of the training and then got this email recently. I just haven't been seeing much return in investment. It doesn't help my laptop is being absurdly slow. Even doing a system cleaning and defrag makes it barely better than it has been. I can't afford a new one as my funding is limited. I just have enough to budget for Wealthy Affiliate and bills.

Kat, there are several people here to help you, including me, you're not quitting on me. We'll find the way to get you where you want to be. Just ask please. Promise?????

That's a promise. I had an issue where some of my posts were being created as pages instead, thanks to an editor that was automatically adding my posts as pages. I had to redo them using the dashboard. One thing I wish the posts edit allowed was creating tables or side by side lists, so I have a better set up for the reviews.

Hi - I took a look at your website. The simple answer is that you don't have enough content. Google AdSense expect to see between 20 and 30 posts.

It looks as though you only have 7 posts. This means that your posts won't be ranking high enough to attract any visitors. You need to show Google that you are an authority on your subject, and this is achieved by having a lot of content.

The only answer is to add more content on a regular basis, 2 or 3 posts per week.

I notice you also have a personal blog which you have worked really hard on and has a lot of posts. Have you thought about putting Amazon products on that? You don't have to reapply, you just need to add the name of that site to your Amazon account settings, and then just add links as normal.

The personal blog I have been on and off adding to for a couple of years, which is why it has more to it. With this one, I have more than seven posts. I just tried to keep the navigation from being too busy or crowded, so it's not difficult to navigate.

I am still trying to add more content that is relevant to the site and non-repetitive. I don't want to overload with a ton of content in one day and then getting stuck until I try a new product to review.

Hi - actually, it's more difficult to navigate. Most visitors would just look at the top menu, as I did. They may not realise there is more to read elsewhere.

By the way, your Affiliate Disclosure doesn't meet Amazons requirements. Take a look at this training.
