I'm walking on the water

Last Update: April 06, 2018

I'm walking on the water, but this isn't any holy miracle. More precisely between water and my feet, there is more than a feet layer of steel ice. So, I'm walking on a Finnish lake ice, what is my favorite exercise in the winter time. We have had an exceptional winter. Snow, and ice more than for ten years. Snow depth is still around 2 feet in Kuopio, my hometown. Spring is over two weeks late.

Walking on the ice isn't just an exercise. It's more about "calming my nerves". It's the best medicine I know when I'm a little bit frustrated or stuck in affiliate marketing problems. Such a situation was today. Writing a blog content seemed to me more than challenging and it didn't progress at all.

So I went to the nearby lake for a little walk. Just about an hour walk on the lake ice and I got my thoughts in the right order and I felt calm and confident. What a miracle! That reminds me how awesome the Finnish nature can be and how much strength it can offer for a frustrated affiliate marketer. When I got home, I wrote over 1000 words article in about an hour. I had done all the basic work and preparation already, but in any case, this is my best performance ever.

Greetings from the North

Kari

Kari! We even share the same hometown. I'm from Kuopio as well, born and raised. Walked over lake Kallavesi my whole life (I prefer walking to skiing). The winter was a first real one for years like you said, would have liked a bit less snow though :). But more importantly we seem to be having a real summer this year as well! Like you know we haven't had those for a while either...

What a coincidence, Jukka. Yes, the world is really small. There have been really exceptional weather conditions in Finland lately. A real winter and a really warm early summer. However, the weather forecasts for midsummer look traditional, cool and rainy.
Great midsummer celebration for you and happy holidays.

Great to do when stuck
I prefer a little warmer than ice will support

Have a great week

This sounds similar to something I do except without the ice. I like to stroll in nature. Take pictures of the sunrise. This calms me also. Some people think I'm just plain weird but to each their own.

Tried and true

That sounds amazing. A good walk anywhere will focus my mind but to walk on water would be a fabulous experience.
Lucky you.

It is amazing, Karen. But no matter where you live, everywhere you can find great circumstances to relax and focus your mind. It's all about that we remember to do that.

Thanks Kim. Because English isn't my native language, I have to think the grammar a lot and what is the most difficult to me is the " natural writing ". So my goal isn't the speed but fluent text without grammar mistakes.Recharging and living the life so fully you can is before all in my life's notebook.
