Be REAL and CONNECT with your audience!
Hey guys!
I'm fairly new to WA and to online marketing, so I am by no means an expert! That being said, the training that I have taken so far (from many different sources) all seem to repeat one very important thing; be REAL and CONNECT with your audience!
One thing that has certainly stuck in my mind when it comes to promoting is to avoid talking solely about your company and its products. Instead, focus on making a friend and figuring out what their pain or problem is.
Let's say you're working with a company called "Traffic Guru" (theoretical example). Well, if you're on social media trying to promote it by screaming "TRAFFIC GURU can do this, TRAFFIC GURU will help you with that, TRAFFIC GURU, TRAFFIC GURU, TRAFFIC GURU," you've likely already eliminated 90% of your marketplace. The moment you label yourself with that one specific business, you no longer have that personal connection with your customer. They want to see who YOU are and what YOU have to share.
Here's the difference: "Hey everyone, I just started learning some new strategies for online marketing that are able to generate 30-50 qualified leads each day! This has taken my business to a whole new level, and I'd love to show you how I did it! Anyone interested?"
Try to encourage interaction with your readers! Take Kyle and Carson for example - they do an amazing job connecting the community within Wealthy Affiliate, and are the faces of the company. They interact on posts and respond to questions, and they've created an amazing site that speaks for itself. Other online marketing sites I've looked at joining in the past were not up front about who created the company; and when they were forward about themselves, they had nowhere near the same level of interaction with their affiliates as Kyle and Carson do.
When you can connect individuals with each other as a leader and add value, you'll find that many will begin to see you as an authority in your niche, and they will begin to jump ship so they too can move forward in their business.
