Using Fiverr
Hi guys,
Hope you're having a great week so far.
Writing a blog post can sometimes be time consuming, and so this week I decided to try and outsource the content writing part to a writer on Fiverr. This is the first time I've used this service, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect.
And I'm still not 100% sure if I'll do it again. Look, I got my 500 words back within a couple of days, and it only cost me AUD$11, but seeing I didn't write the article it naturally doesn't sound like me either.
I decided to tweak only a tiny little bit (otherwise it defeated the purpose of me using the service in the first place), add a few links and images, and publish it on my site:

If you care to check it out, I'd love some feedback.
Has anyone else had experience with outsourcing the content writing? Any recommendations? and what about publishing the off blog post with a different style of writing that most of the site - any opinions on this? Is it a big no-no? or ok? Would love to hear your opinions.

Thanks Mark, that's great to hear! I was a bit iffy about doing it as I've put a lot of work into making the site have a particular 'feel', but I guess as long as the content is valuable then it's worth it :)

Thanks for test driving Fiver for me. I was thinking along the same lines. I want to leverage my time. But I had the same concern about an article that didn't have me voice.
I may do some research and review sample articles by other writers. If I find anything interesting I will let you know.

Hi Paul,
Funny enough, I’ve used Fiverr multiple times since writing this post. I’ve found that the effectiveness of it outweighs it not sounding ‘entirely’ like me. I find that I spend a good hour adding bits and pieces here and there, put my flair on it, adding links and images etc, so the fact that I don’t have to do the main writing part has been great.
