I decided I wanted to put my second book on Amazon this weekend. I am not sure what the typical time-frame between books should be, but as soon as I got this second one put together, I had to put it online!

I think I could get very addicted to this.

I've now sold 8 copies of my first e-book and this second one is still processing, but I am super excited.

I had to do this. I have wanted to "be a writer" for my whole life. Publishing my thoughts on my blogs or here at WA is great. Writing articles for the newspaper and radio are great. But it feels like publishing a book...to me, that makes me feel like an "author!"

I have been kind of playing it "safe" with my initial releases, but I am looking forward to releasing one of my novels in the near future. (Now I just have to get one of them done!)

Currently, the sales of my e-books are at a standstill, but I am not worried, nor will I fret because I know there are a lot of potential sales out there yet!

Publishing these and putting myself out there for worldwide possible praise or scrutiny and certainly, a bit of criticism has made me even more determined to work harder on my websites.

While I have purchased several domains, I am focusing on three of my sites, especially the one that promotes Wealthy Affiliate and making money online! I really want to go to Vegas in 2022!

Why did publishing my books make me want to work harder on my websites?

Because I saw success. Success seems to have a way of making a person want to strive for more, doesn't it?

These sales of my e-book showed me that I do have a message and someone found it valuable enough to purchase a book and leave a 5-star review!

Sometimes we just need to have a little bit of a re-motivator. That is what those sales did for me—they renewed my desire to share the "gift" of Wealthy Affiliate!

I am working on more content for my three sites I will be focusing on in the coming weeks.

I have not quit the day job yet...

I have not quit my day job yet. It is a good thing I did not because my spouse fell down our front steps last week and has been unable to work. Thank goodness we received our "stimulus" money and have been able to keep making our ends meet!

The spouse didn't break anything, but is very bruised and sore and has a hard time walking or bending or basically doing much of anything right now.

I am still planning to quit the job. It is my number one goal. It is just a blessing to know that when the spouse returns to work, I still have the option to quit at any time and focus my energies on writing what I love to write—stories of hope, encouragement, and just a bit of early Stephen King!

Best wishes for a great 2021,
Karin 😎

Good for you, Karin! You're on a roll, and that's great. hope your spouse gets well soon. Those falls can leave the body feeling like one big bruise.
I have finally come to a decision on the path I take. I have just laid out most all of 2020--marching in place-you could call it- because I wasn't happy with what I was doing--But I didn't want to quit-
I think I've found the path.
Do you mind if I send you a PM? I'm not sure exactly when, but in a day or two. they are predicting cold and snow for St. Louis, so I may be stuck close to home this weekend.

Hi Barb. Thank you. Yes, feel free to send me a PM. I will encourage you in any way that I can! 😎

Thank you, Sami.

Congratulations Karin. Since you are in this momentum keep it going, I don't time frames for publishing e-books exist - just do what feels right for you. There's more to come.

Thank you! I appreciate your comments. I am hoping to do about one e-book a month. As I have been thinking about it, I believe some will be given away on my various sites and some will go to Kindle.
