Embrace the Little Victories

“Why am I excited?” was the question I asked myself. The news I received was not about ranking #1 in Google. It was not about having a big money month. In fact, there was no direct, immediate impact on my earnings at all. The news I received was a message from Wealthy Affiliate informing me of the badge I receivedv for completing six months of Wealthy Affiliate Premium Membership. And I get it, you are probably saying to yourself right now, “What’s the big deal?”. Well, it only took me a few moments to answer both my question and yours: I was excited about the badge- and it’s a big deal- because the path to building a business is often a rocky road. Therefore, it is critical that we as entrepreneurs (risk takers), embrace even the little victories.

The journey to wealth is not a straight, linear path. There are days when we are full of confidence and know that wealth is “right around the corner”. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are also days when we feel like hiding under the covers because nothing is going right. Perhaps you have been there. Does any of this sound familiar?: The website edit did not turn out as you expected, you carefully followed the steps to improve your website ranking but right now it’s still stuck on obscurity or maybe the affiliate earnings are much less than what you envisioned would be printed on your first check.

Well, guess what friend: You’re normal. It’s all part of “the entrepreneur’s journey”. We win, we fail, we win, we fail but ultimately, if we continue to push forward when we fail, we will win.
