My site has been hacked/spammed. Not really sure what to do?? I have over 100 subscribers in the last couple hours, and now they are posting all of these articles on my site,

I hope you got this resolved by now!

Seems like you got right answer from Barry?

oh no! Hopefully you'll get that rectified soon.....

Keep us posted on your results.

If that is not the problem, then let me know. :))

OK your setting are wrong you need to change the settings in general
Go to setting >>general then un- check the box that says anyone can register and that will solve it

Barry

Yep.... That is the one Barry. Good man... This will do it.

Ok, you were right, that box was checked.... I have unchecked it. Here's hoping!!!

It will work

Barry

Make sure you have Askimet installed. It will put these into pending and will not add the to your site until you approve.
I have a similar issue of 50 spammers a day to click to spam.
Take carlalves advice and they can hopefully block them for you.

I have Askimet and another one called SICATCHPA installed. Not sure how this happened.

Hi
The comments should stay in your pending just click spam on them,
They will not appear on your site unless you approve.
There is some forum that seems to be targeting comment sites, not sure who or how?
Then as Carla and Dave reiterated creaet a support ticket.

No, they are actually posting blogs/content on my site. They add themselves as users to my website. I had hundreds. Now I'm down to deleting them as they add themselves. It won't stop :(

It happened because your default settings were set so anyone can subscribe and edit your blog. When you set those settings yourself no spam protection in the world can stop from happening. The only way is to make sure youe the only subscriber as Baz has said

Oh no! Is the site hosted here? If so, do what Carla said. Please keep us updated!

Yes, hosted here.

File a support ticket. Go to Build My Website. Top right says Support Ticket. Follow the prompts. Easy. Tell them you need a solution FAST.

Ok thank you! My site is hosted here
...

Do you have Akismet and SiCAPTCHA installed?

Yes

Carla has the best answer here, follow her advice ASAP!
