YouTube Suspended my Account

I just started to monetize in the YouTube world of marketing. So I created a tutorial for apps that I use to save money. I have seen videos just like the one I created all over the internet. It was a very simple tutorial for ShopKick and they suspended my account and sent me an email. Stating that it was not allowed due to Community Guideline. I have gone through the Community Guidelines and don't see what I did wrong.

Are they considering MY Video Spam and not the million others. UGH

I am so confused and very upset that my video was flagged out of the millions of videos out there.

I contacted YouTube and asked what the problem was and all they said was my account is staying in the suspend stage for 3 months.

Has anyone ever come across this before?

I don't know if I want to deal with YouTube anymore if their gone to keep suspending my tutorials. I know it's another way to make money but I am not sure it's worth the stress and frustration.

All help is appreciated.

Dennis

UPDATE - 2-24-18

I have spent the 2 days trying to figure out what I did wrong on YouTube to get my account suspend and then terminated.

Here's what I found out, YouTube is doing this to a lot of people there is actually a Facebook Group that you can join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/149842672325004/about/

I have sent 9 emails, 2 to support, 5 replies to the emails I received and 2 to the appeal department. Trying to figure out why my account was suspended what exactly is their reason.

All I keep getting is automated replies stating that I have to read the Community Guidelines. I have read them and don't see any reason why my account would be suspended.

I have found people that have had their YouTube account since 2006 and had over 700 videos and their account got suspended.

I am not giving up just yet, but I don't want to spend a lot of time trying to fix something that a thousand of other people have tried before me to fix. So I will keep sending emails and maybe try and find a phone number to call.

But Please fellow WA Members don't be shocked if your account gets Suspended on YouTube. They are not playing nice at all.

If anyone has an alternative to YouTube please let me know. Much Thanks

I guess they don't need any more money from new businesses.

Be Safe and Good Luck to all YouTubers

Hi Dennis, I'm sorry to hear about your predicament. Unfortunately I don't have much to offer in terms of solutions other than to keep trying to contact them and possibly to escalate to a supervisor if you indeed feel this way.

What I can tell you is that YouTube is not what it was before, it has become a cesspool for political correctness and double standard policies that punish many innocent creators and reward those who seemingly should not be rewarded (demonetization for example).

Don't let this type of stuff stop you though man, it happens to everyone (I've had many set backs throughout my days), carry on with other options (SEO, PPC, Social media).

Thanks Vitaliy,

This came at a time when I am really wondering if I should be doing affiliate marketing. It has been tough.

I sent 3 emails and keep getting the same response which is check out the Community Guidelines. I have done that several times and still don't see why this has happened.

I have to rethink my career in affiliate marketing.

Thanks for your help

Dennis

Yeah this is typical stuff from them, they can't take responsibility, so they refer you to ridiculous guidelines they themselves do not follow. It's immensely hypocritical and I had this same experience when Adwords suspended my account without good reason.

I say screw them and move into SEO type affiliate marketing. Since you already run ads and have experience in this, try to market on Bing. they are A LOT more lenient and their customer support rocks.

How do I market with Bing? I already use their bing webmaster tools, what else should I be doing?

Thanks for your help

Yup, they do it all the time. They have a glut of useless make money online videos and they sometimes penalize legitimate ones. Stay away from typical "make money online" keywords in your descriptions and keywords. Happened to me before also. Not sure if this is the reason in your case but that was my experience.

It was a video about ShopKick an app that you use to save money. I may have used the words and tags Save Money.

This really is insane.

Thanks for your personal experience.

Did you sign in and acknowledge the strike on your account?

Did you complete and submit the appeal form?

Three months seems like an excessive penalty for a first offence. Perhaps YouTube is getting more restrictive these days. They've just cancelled ads on a lot of smaller channels.

Yes, I acknowledged the strike on my account and when I tried to submit an appeal from the email they provided. But my account is closed not even there for me to fill out an appeal form.

I only recently opened the account maybe 2 months ago and just started uploading videos. I put up about 5 videos and they flagged this one.

Yes, three months is a very long time.

So upset about this.

If there a way I can upload the video so maybe you can check it out. Maybe I missed something?

Thanks

I've only ever used YouTube myself but here's some alternatives
https://twitgoo.com/best-youtube-alternatives/

If you can, try to upload it as an unlisted video so you don't get flagged by anyone else.

Hard to say what you may have done wrong in their eyes. So vague a lot of the time.

But your account should not be suspended if this is your first strike. A second one will get you booted for two weeks. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802032

Did anything from their message apply to what you were doing? Or could they have felt it did?

I know this is very extreme I really have not a glue. I have only had the YouTube account opened for a few months and just started uploading training videos.

Is there a way I can upload the video for you to check it out?

Maybe I missed something?

Thanks
