I'm working on content for a new blog. It overlaps niche financial and lifestyle topics. I will be writing from personal experience as well as writing about topics I have res
You could use just your first name (I'm doing this on my latest site) and then a tagline. Like "the financial guru" or whatever you think fits.
You could include your full name on your About Me page though. But like others have said here, it's personal preference.

Thank you for the suggestion. Besides my wife's reticence, one thing that makes me leery of using our real full names is that the "before" part of our story contains some extremely embarrassing things that we don't necessarily want our friends, families, and coworkers to know about. These things are a compelling part of the journey, but I sort of feel that I can be much more open and honest in the guise of another person. Or maybe I'm just a big wimp.
I use my own name as my brand or if I even use a company name for some of my projects, my name is still associated with it.
Personal preference.

Thanks, Mel. When I look at the list of top-earning blogs, many in the finance arena seem to be using their own name as the owner/contributor.
Your welcome Kevin! How can we trust advice from someone we don't know or who wishes to remain anonymous. I always do more research on people rather than just "accept" their advice.
Mel
Well I don't have any advice but I can tell you I don't use my real name. It is easy to find out that information anyway but I prefer staying "admin". To me it feels more professional. Not everyone agrees with that as I am always being told to correct it but I like it the way that it is!
Thanks. I had been thinking of using an alias. My wife especially wants anonymity. She was born in Germany 9 years after VE day and grew up with the concept of "keeping your head down." Maybe not a bad philosophy on the web. If someone is offended by something on this site, it won't affect my other sites,
*** Excellent question!
It's very much like building a 'brand.'
Of course, indeed, it's absolutely your own choice as you are the on line business owner.
Jay has a superb webinar on this topic and his replays can be found in Live Events, just over to the left side hand margin under the dashboard.

I am transferring a domain from Squarespace. It seems OK on their side - I got the key successfully. When I try to complete on this end, it seems OK until I get the message to
The process asked for an email address. But I checked all emails before posting the question. Nothing.
n cancelled the WA transfer portion, went back in to Squarespace, relocked and unlocked the domain again. Then unchecked the privacy setting and and reinitiated the transfer. Now it looks like it is moving on. I got the email and it looks like the final steps will be completed on Tuesday.

It was suggested that I create a ticket for assistance migrating a site from Squarespace to WA. I have a site that I would like to bring into my WA. How should we proceed?
You may need to find out how to back it up from your current provider as well as importing it here. Siterubix may not know who to get your site out and squarespace may not know how to import it here
Thanks. I decided to begin fresh. The tone going forward will be different from my original. I did copy off most posts to a document so I could copy and paste certain portions that I liked.
