My First 7 Days @ WA : Awesome!

For the last few months I've been trying to build a side hustle.

Something that would reduce my dependence on my day job. And also create my idenity beyond my job profile.

Starting my own full time business was not an option since I hardly find time after returning home.

I started to look for options -

• Dropshipping
• Youtube channel
• Freelance copywriting
• Digital marketing consultant
• Social media manager
• Affiliate marketing

The web is full of people claiming to make millions of $$$ from all the above methods.

But from my job experience I could tell that most of them were scamsters.

Only copywriting and affiliate marketing seemed to have relatively larger number of really successful people.

And for a passive source of income-

Affiliate Marketing Seemed The Ideal Solution

• I did not have to create anything.
  
• I'd just sell other people's stuff and get the commission.
• Even better, I can decide how much is enough and stop and restart anytime I want.
  

These are the 3 reasons that drew me to affiliate marketing.

But

The problem was that I had no training. Neither did I know any successful affiliate marketer who could guide me.

My job taught me to run PPC Ads, Influencer marketing on Instagram etc. But these marketing methods are suitable for organizations with huge marketing budgets. Not ideal for a solopreneur like me.

I needed to learn content marketing, SEO etc.

I started looking for a step-by-step guide to affiliate marketing. That's how I discovered about WA and joined as a free member.

Honestly, I did not have very high expectations.

I was actually looking to learn the free lessons and then start my business outside of WA. But after about 5 days into my membership, I upgraded to premium.

What Made Me Change My Mind?

Not the training.

Yes, it's super in-depth and fits what I call step-by-step guide for a newbie.

Still I know I could find something similar elsewhere.

Not even the tools and services.

I know I'm getting free hosting, keyword research, SERP tracking etc bundled with my WA membership. But these things I could easily manage from the business partners of my company.

I upgraded to premium only because of the active community here at WA.

Even when I was going through the free course, I could see people here are passionate about helping each other.

This platform has been there from 2005. I could see some members are active from 2009!

They must know everything about affiliate marketing by now. But they are still actively helping, guiding others, solving there problems every day.

It just hooked me to WA. And I want to stay here as long as this vibe remains here.

My Goals

I'm goining through the training and trying to implement them one by one.

Though I can only work after I come back home, I want to finish the training within 90 days. The next 90 days I'll try to scale my site's traffic and conversion rates so that I hit $100 sales per day.

My Goal: I want to hit $100/day revenue in my first 180 days.

I know it's a difficult target.

Still I'm aiming for it. It's something that'll drive me, keep me on my toes. Even if I fall short, I'll still achieve much to be proud of.
