The expensive experience.
Hi There,
It has been a long time since I wrote my blog in WA. I hope everyone is in good health, success, and the most important reaching your goal.
I want to share some experienced that recently happened to me.
Now and then, I used to check the domain name, and if I liked the name, I bought it. Last week I came across the domain name that I like. I bought it without hesitation.
As usual, I point the domain name to the server (not here) and install WordPress. After all the steps, I want to check the look of my new website. This is when the problem is acquired. I can not check the website because it is blocked by google. Apparently, the domain is on google blocklist. To be able to release the blocklist, you need to contact google. (you can google this - it is not very difficult and straightforward). You can do it through your google search console.
After view days, I got a reply from Google mentioned that they are no longer put the website (domain) in the suspicious list (blocklist). And in view hour I can see that the website is working.
Problem solved? not really. Another warning from McAfee site advisor was that the website is dangerous even though I have not added anything, just template (generatepress template).
The warning from the site advisor apparently is not easy to release. I choose to involve a security company and ask them to deal with in contacting Mc Afee. (And it is not free)
Question: Is there any site that can help check whether search engines block the domain name? Before I buy a domain name, I can check whether the domain name is clear. Ok, it does not happen that often, maybe 1 in a million, but still..., it is good to know.
Thanks
Kalle

Hi Kiki
A great question.
Here are s couple of interesting sites to checkout:
https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search
https://woorkup.com/url-blacklist/
:-)
Richard
Richard, does It work (the above recommendation link) for checking the domain before purchase? I bought the domain and I have not (basiccaly) do anything to the site
/Kalle
The first is for identifying any unsafe site name.
The second site presents several places for checking for a blocked site and I haven't used them yet.

Hi Kallie,
To prevent the next time, check out this:https://www.getastra.com/website-blacklist-check
It is free to use.
Rudy
Thanks Rudy 🙏 - I hope that the website black list check works for checking before you buy the domain name. If you check from the transparency report that Richard wrote (under), it is only mentioned not enough data for available domain name to purchase - I used Sucuri it is about the same price as getastra - thank you once again for the tips...
