Adsense, I just don't understand.

I have got to the place in my training where I had to apply for a adsense account for my web site and which I did to just be denied an account because I guess my site on Hydroponic Gardening has something to do with Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, Alcohol, Beer or Tobacco to which none of the listed reasons or not entered anywhere in my site, yes I know that hydroponics can be used for less than legal production of some plants but I have not suggested anything of the like.

I have no control over what readers do with the information they read about on my site and how they implement what I suggest on how to grow tomatoes, strawberries and lettuce in your basement or in another part of your house during the winter months and then how to grow outside in less space and in a healthier way.

So I just don't understand !!

Adsense Ads will compete for traffic clicks on your niche site. I feel it's a definite distraction for visitors to your initial niche site, and the return is very low.

You might consider a product oriented site later on dedicated to Adsense. I followed Kyle's training too, but have subsequently removed Adsense from my niche site.

I was denied by Google Adsense too. When I applied I didn't have enough content. Media.net is another option and they seem to take on newer blogs.

Ok thanks I will check that out.

You said you had to apply, as a part of training. You do not have to.

The reason you have rejected can be simply not enough traffic. Leave it and try a few months later.

No I guess maybe that was a wrong choice of words I should have said "when I applied for a adsense account" instead I had to, my bad I guess.

Hi Jerry,

Did Google email to say why they didn't approve your application?

I found the following in the Google support forums:

"If your application has not been approved, please refer first to the application status message that we have sent to you - it contains more details on why your application was disapproved."

If they have emailed that may shed some light on where they are coming from.

I have read about others having problems with Adsense, so you're not on your own with this!

Best wishes
John

Yes John they had emailed me saying that I was not approved but not a clear reason why.
