What is Peach Blossom Day?

It is a day to celebrate peaches blossoms and a special day for women/girls. It is a World announced holiday celebrated in Hunan, China. It's a time to toast to kick off the New Year.

Why Peach Blossoms?

The Chinese believe that peach blossoms were part of the most significant celebrations to ward off evil spirits and increase vitality in a person. A fruit is commercially grown around the world and a prized delicacy. I believe peach blossoms are a memorable symbol that we can compare within many cultures.

As a Celebration, Enjoy my Peach Cobbler Recipe.

Fun Fact: California Season of our Farmers Harvesting Peaches starts between July and August.

Consider buying fresh peaches locally to benefit our environment and your local farmers. If you believe Peachers start to be harvested earlier in your area. Please leave a comment as I enjoy tracking where our commodities are produced. Ever wonder how far the food we buy at the market comes from? It's amazing how it can affect the prices and how it's grown.

Frozen peaches work great or from a can. If you want that sweet flavor. Recommend savoring the time until July available at your local Certified Farmers Market.
